Scope and Purpose of Job
8 d6 ~6 f" ]2 y+ hEmployee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers. Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.: `+ @) Z- l" \8 p9 q6 r; O
Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities
6 d9 L: S$ y7 C2 W5 Y; p, j! {5 |• Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
! U. ^; G- Y2 z2 F% u z: r$ c6 r• Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.7 v2 q0 ]& y) ?2 {
• Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems0 Z2 K2 ]5 b9 j' f0 [
o Test all new patch versions of software prior to release
9 H& h- u) J5 G• Assist where needed in application questions.
4 J. L3 b9 [0 B( V* u2 g• Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.
4 ]) ?5 X5 h: r1 |( Q+ @o New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures

o Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.1 F" @9 U4 v. S0 u& H
o Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.
6 g6 A' l; C% L/ }2 @• Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products. In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.
6 P/ `; J0 P* Wo Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports/ y. }2 r# L( l& u+ p2 `. t% F1 a
o Assist in information gather for any new product idea.

o Act as technical applications expert on development team.' b3 y) h& _3 a) I% g' n
• Assist in Sales support & training.1 W% g+ p( P7 W: F& ?
• Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person. To use both Web-based and on-site training tools., k' x" i' O( U s+ W* z% L
o In rare cases where no other solution exist to travel to customer site to solve technical issues.

1 a5 Y9 `" F {) F1 y* D! B• Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process. Understanding of textile dyeing processes.

• Proficient in software use and writing.
