Job Title: Product Technology Manager, Lab Equipment         Date: October 13, 2011$ I& o$ m$ w! X) U

5 E% k, \7 {3 V/ F+ x& S/ kScope and Purpose of Job- Z, g% F7 w( v8 ?1 O
Employee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.! f5 a# L7 ?/ L
Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities
3 P7 W0 ~4 {# n: K•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
' R# ~+ \4 C) k5 [/ J% p: W•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.
' c  u4 }  [, E0 w8 K# a$ \$ H•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems) G- n$ h+ N5 a) i" O
o        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release
# `/ I) G/ W: n& ?, G7 l4 c7 n•        Assist where needed in application questions.
4 v6 r% m6 Y) j" j! M. d' }•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.
. o! o& ~- x. M+ Ro        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures: e% x( c) E# V9 ?
o        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed. w/ t$ H* v8 a# a
•        Track and report all warranty failures( n3 i7 p' U) D3 b
o        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.
$ e! [7 I/ a. `o        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.
4 Y* X- ]* J) ?* @- j# p•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.
( O" E6 x* q2 U) f: uo        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports
- ?) M- ^* f$ S! mo        Assist in information gather for any new product idea.
: n! y1 i# S4 i, j* Zo        Assist in writing and new product specification7 F/ W' L0 {3 j7 f$ Q5 u& @% Z
o        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.
# q( P( W6 z7 j$ j% @/ _+ t0 u- [* Go        Act as technical applications expert on development team.6 h9 `& _! R7 z- u
•        Assist in Sales support & training.( ]( B5 r8 ?. u( N8 q
•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.. c9 d: ~8 |/ Y( Z  s) Z, _6 N. v
o        In rare cases where no other solution exist to travel to customer site to solve technical issues.+ o0 b: ^3 j8 B' K5 a

Professional Experience (Years and Field of Activity)       
) \/ `/ O& Y* z, d9 z! J- f0 Y5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers- J& h/ w6 b% F; l6 `2 e
List of Skills/Qualifications       
6 e  S- H. S( D•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.
9 v+ J) N6 t# P  W! q- P9 ~% a) C) h6 `•        Background knowledge of dispensers and software $ u6 r- P8 }, D5 U
•        Proficient in software use and writing.
. Q9 C' u0 M. e) l•        Excellent communicator both verbally and in written reports.
