Scope and Purpose of Job
Employee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.
8 A  T# j$ S8 Q$ g9 L  t. aMajor Responsibilities and Accountabilities
. J" P3 h, \3 o* n& _. d•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.
•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems
o        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release
) k4 [' `$ h, }% f9 k' l•        Assist where needed in application questions.
•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.
o        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures
o        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed
/ q; ]# I- S& A% R" b; [0 ^•        Track and report all warranty failures
o        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.
# z# a( D7 {7 F6 j' o) Q6 ho        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.
•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.
o        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports
% ~' K4 V* `5 y  E) o' Go        Assist in information gather for any new product idea.
o        Assist in writing and new product specification
. ]+ z- q7 O. r- z; s/ zo        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.
( l# R. L0 a9 H* R7 h4 Y/ Eo        Act as technical applications expert on development team.
! X1 L% r* h: f% I# d•        Assist in Sales support & training.
•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.
' c9 A8 f- X7 |1 Mo        In rare cases where no other solution exist to travel to customer site to solve technical issues.

2 r4 K  a0 T$ N, l4 T- ~5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers
2 R' M7 h9 W: U. c# FList of Skills/Qualifications       
•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.
•        Background knowledge of dispensers and software
. X$ Q5 h+ O; X( a2 f9 N' p1 p•        Proficient in software use and writing.
3 s, z3 C" y: u* j" ?7 `9 ~•        Excellent communicator both verbally and in written reports.
" s" y( l2 F& c, o( |•        Ability to travel worldwide.
