Scope and Purpose of Job

NEmployee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers. Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.

• Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
, j7 X5 z! a6 ?7 b( x" c' _• Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations." X- y1 R: H' `/ n4 x( w0 J
• Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems
$ H, y& \( I+ f! D! g6 h0 `% f+ s, Io Test all new patch versions of software prior to release

& ?( V9 w- L& Z, q+ A, U% X• Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.

o Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed; k9 u2 B, h6 r
• Track and report all warranty failures+ W" }0 b! ^: p* j- v
o Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.* p+ N k9 [! Z$ v$ k \8 `9 e
o Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.
, ^0 c: S9 ?& Y8 a6 I! ~9 J• Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products. In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.& H4 J4 t% F3 c4 R7 \4 Q/ u' M8 n
o Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports: G/ w0 Y/ ~: [0 P
o Assist in information gather for any new product idea.% Y' \' c3 l" f: w

o Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.
! x( [8 a7 E8 S# Eo Act as technical applications expert on development team.- S @# B% }7 ~. b
• Assist in Sales support & training.- I' c) K4 N; }8 g1 n& h
• Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person. To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.

5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers0 x( m5 ]3 t, P/ a3 q3 W. k: _( h
List of Skills/Qualifications
