Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker

# M5 ~# D% B. {1 xPosition Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. Key Responsibilities:
$ J- k8 r' R: a0 M• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
7 F) O8 \) {, \$ o• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
7 \& c% |5 t; ]7 g2 B; ]• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
: @: X9 z1 Q7 }3 T/ L5 a• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
) c) Q: M+ ?! K" j5 i( F• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings
) N1 X' _ Z0 i) n( w3 _- j• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents# K0 `- A3 i/ T6 I7 e
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
. k, {; X1 A8 k& ^• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events# z2 g: {# k: t/ y" z2 p
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events
, ]7 r* F+ f0 A0 q• Keep the reception area tidy and clean. h+ r* {6 e/ U4 _
• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters
4 ^/ O5 S; U: @9 ?" n1 q• Maintain front counter service files

" m- u4 P9 B, I$ V• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person$ B1 Z9 A/ C1 M- H
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
( v; u9 M4 Z* e( G0 {• Good English writing and oral communication skills
9 X' u& y p, Z" |$ D• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
& H$ j$ f/ ~2 J+ `2 R5 N• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook. A) |0 @$ G' F9 d
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately

• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced office environment8 [8 g! S* s: \ B2 y* ^9 y
• Knowledge of immigrant services

• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience ' W5 ?4 ~7 m( M1 ~ a/ J$ b
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
8 H/ E. Z6 ^- O3 ~8 B% G• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism S c J: l- d3 f
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
