Hours of Work: Part-time (10 hours per week)

Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

+ Y$ K4 i- p- S. m/ T• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person$ m# [7 u" c2 ^" @+ Q
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST! ~+ F- R. W d$ R& t
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately( O: J4 j/ [7 v6 V
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter/ F$ L9 _* ^$ @
• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings6 D* e! w( b3 L+ p
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
/ V% b4 D3 ~9 a$ T1 g7 v8 }• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker0 w3 p3 d0 j( z
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
$ C6 T" g: l: _; v- N/ c• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events
9 A* _" Z$ _: o9 U9 R• Keep the reception area tidy and clean5 F* ~& M; d4 M4 D3 r, L
• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters! O% ^9 @+ K' I5 Y+ |; |" z3 D9 a
• Maintain front counter service files9 t3 s' v) m) I( R
• Perform general office duties as assigned

+ d* J: o) j! S2 U• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
' C0 M; [ H. A) p) O: }/ r$ t• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset! y; F' S. O; H; o# D: K% |
• Good English writing and oral communication skills
5 Z0 T, E- H k# ?* A• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
6 h) r5 A$ X( y• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook3 y+ B" P- |& W7 J; H( z+ f4 f
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately

• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced office environment

Qualifications:7 k/ i; t* J! \
• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience , j2 L# j. [. s( y* R
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
0 c) }& c7 [ O0 Z& Y• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism5 U, w7 a% G0 c' I
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
