Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker

( H9 J* j z R! m* cPosition Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST6 c( c# } w. c) P4 s
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
! _% V5 i+ v4 ?. i, T; P• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
* c3 j$ R% |; Z• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings6 b$ d3 x7 j# ?' x- p
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents& ^9 T8 s8 N" ?" M! g% ]! S
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker5 L" G3 i4 X7 J6 s' ?5 o- \* p
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events% t3 t$ r% u/ [# U8 Y7 k( }
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events

• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

• Perform general office duties as assigned

• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
) a/ D7 x2 w7 |& i+ [1 T• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset& }$ s' m* Z) R; j. G+ X8 r
• Good English writing and oral communication skills
8 {5 M8 K" o; z% l) z• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
D& |9 I5 r" s3 i4 S7 u& k• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook- _2 H: c0 X' q3 K
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately

• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced office environment

Qualifications:" G; X' L7 |+ u
• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience ' M6 a8 L8 M2 `8 l- i
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
! ?% K8 Z# s4 c8 u0 F. x# e• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism4 a5 ]' f+ j& E; A
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision4 k8 Y3 m2 Z8 u" H5 {, g
