Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker

4 ~: d7 m, G$ t+ fPosition Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. # z# b' N0 r' y2 I/ r2 h

Key Responsibilities:
8 j7 R1 p4 j8 }2 Y/ K• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person/ X8 V. C: ^4 X& n+ C& z# ?: P
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST; J/ A6 p8 C6 b. C. ]
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately8 t4 c5 v% e* z0 P6 u" C6 e
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
; G' ?' v1 S0 |$ @2 P% d0 M• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings" a1 _. p% m& \. z7 b
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents! N( j" H/ w% K6 l1 N M3 w6 f
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
% `/ E2 j* ], J• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
- w& ~$ O% A7 v! l0 i2 e• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events

• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
/ _( T8 A* v) b* k• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
; b8 ]- X# y2 I, U0 ^( n• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset, h/ \1 \! S0 z/ x) t- D3 I- Q/ q2 n
• Good English writing and oral communication skills
3 R0 n9 i- k* U+ A* z' b' k1 i• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
' J$ w( p4 a) Z* M ^6 x• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook' I% N5 ?/ U& s( X3 d+ O- G
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately % }- X& Y0 K- ?8 ? `$ K5 f9 v( y$ `2 M
• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds

Qualifications:
- d* Q' J% S2 N' ?• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
- o {( q' K: T$ ]3 p, L2 F* ^• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment, R7 u3 @0 r: C6 \6 D
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
& ?. t0 W$ a$ r/ p2 Q• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
