Payroll:
3 P0 F: W1 T c7 { s• Verify and process required documents when a new employee is hired
" m; v0 }8 L; p" P6 ~/ v• Prepare and complete the twice monthly organization’s payroll4 N+ V- V- O- I7 ?. _4 [
• Ensure the maintenance of confidential up-to-date personnel records + j5 f: T# u/ H9 C
• Input benefit deductions into payroll
- H+ n5 n4 m# @% j- K: b7 R
, V+ f/ @! i6 q- z0 G% GReporting duties:6 a9 e" U9 a+ L9 G: k& D
• Prepare RSP contribution file and send to RSP provider
+ W" E9 \! s- B- {8 x" m/ ^• Prepare New Hires report for Statistics Canada and upload it onto the Statistics Canada website
6 O8 S0 L1 r, h& `• Reconcile payroll to T-4’s and T-4A’s and prepare and send T-4’s and T-4A’s# y) `% t9 j8 H: l- K
• Reconcile Worker’s Compensation Board expense to payroll, and submit Worker’s Compensation Report to WCB authority

• Ensure compliance with Canada Revenue Agency’s regulations regarding payroll
' B7 ^. {- m' M- o• Ensure compliance with Alberta Labour Standards and other provincial regulations regarding payroll.$ r4 c) S) G- F* A2 {
• Ensure procedures for safeguarding and releasing personal information comply with Freedom of Information and Privacy regulations, provincial privacy legislation and YWCA Edmonton Human Resources Policies& y2 Y- d! V4 g
• Act as information liaison between Worker’s Compensation Board and managers, and ensure compliance with Worker’s Compensation Board reporting

Accounts Receivable:* Q) L2 V! \ x
• Complete data entry of all receipts, cash and direct deposit' D; y' B2 @! q! A
• Note discrepancies between receipts and invoicing, and communicate discrepancies to appropriate department
# ~ H% Q) [% ?$ f0 d. w7 _, c, ^7 i: `• Conduct debit and credit adjustments up to a limit of $10.00 and ensure manager’s approval is required for adjustments0 w9 N* l% D: Z9 @
• Prepare and complete miscellaneous third party billing/ i, ]- E$ U3 f7 o8 y6 b

Qualifications:
@8 m" m g2 h) z% P' |% Q& {- b, F' S# [' K/ a: [
• Post secondary education in computerized Accounting and Payroll Programs including working knowledge of Accpac ERP, N0 t. u& p) h. ~0 }; d9 X
• Completion or in process of completion for certification by the Canadian Payroll Association- I* c% l8 [8 J+ `" m5 |: y
• Minimum 2 years experience in a payroll related position' E, ^, F3 d& C: I" y1 s
• Proven experience with word processing, databases, and spreadsheets using Microsoft Office
9 q9 \) \( y& X B% G3 q5 I' ?• Detail oriented and demonstrated accuracy in work6 S' R }" e% c8 M- D
• Establishes priorities, meets deadlines, and works well under pressure
