. D8 e; @, ^7 I' }3 TYWCA Edmonton has an opportunity for a permanent Payroll Administrator position. The Payroll Administrator is responsible for the processing the YWCA payroll, accounts receivables, and other finance related duties.

Payroll:# |0 k2 [/ i z8 J
• Verify and process required documents when a new employee is hired* s% |" e2 G( Y) d. M N0 H' B
• Prepare and complete the twice monthly organization’s payroll1 q! ]# |6 a/ F* K2 C2 b
• Ensure the maintenance of confidential up-to-date personnel records
# ^2 |, \6 N& S- Z: } `7 E• Input benefit deductions into payroll7 E9 r6 s' }) a: E) N0 z' C3 |7 G
3 q5 d. _9 t$ ~. \& z' L8 L c4 mReporting duties:0 X! V/ T$ g# D
• Prepare RSP contribution file and send to RSP provider
5 k% {9 i8 F& l• Prepare New Hires report for Statistics Canada and upload it onto the Statistics Canada website
3 [1 D T* l% c$ [• Reconcile payroll to T-4’s and T-4A’s and prepare and send T-4’s and T-4A’s2 `* I/ f: d' D& a; l! k& ~
• Reconcile Worker’s Compensation Board expense to payroll, and submit Worker’s Compensation Report to WCB authority6 `. t( w9 d5 b6 c. l0 R0 r; _* z
• Complete employee records of employment and salary confirmations

Compliance:/ t# V/ g5 I6 b r+ J) S" P
• Ensure compliance with Canada Revenue Agency’s regulations regarding payroll
% \$ W1 h6 H& r5 @* C$ F% ]• Ensure compliance with Alberta Labour Standards and other provincial regulations regarding payroll.& Z$ k; m& s" [3 W$ I- H: h# } E
• Ensure procedures for safeguarding and releasing personal information comply with Freedom of Information and Privacy regulations, provincial privacy legislation and YWCA Edmonton Human Resources Policies
. q/ w2 o6 x- B6 |$ {1 N# T! v4 t+ t• Act as information liaison between Worker’s Compensation Board and managers, and ensure compliance with Worker’s Compensation Board reporting

Accounts Receivable:
7 T; g. t/ f F5 ~, ]0 I• Complete data entry of all receipts, cash and direct deposit
8 S! d% O, N2 v2 b5 K• Note discrepancies between receipts and invoicing, and communicate discrepancies to appropriate department0 d8 C4 ?3 h; }! H
• Conduct debit and credit adjustments up to a limit of $10.00 and ensure manager’s approval is required for adjustments
' O U! m" c1 X$ }6 w. P5 T• Prepare and complete miscellaneous third party billing

Qualifications:9 }* l! D# O3 V0 y0 U) |1 i6 A
, F/ K! m0 A1 K" p4 p8 C2 d8 {1 \• Post secondary education in computerized Accounting and Payroll Programs including working knowledge of Accpac ERP
1 _9 H ~# R( Z• Completion or in process of completion for certification by the Canadian Payroll Association
; G- f( U! ^" a+ S1 A3 J" P• Minimum 2 years experience in a payroll related position9 W/ z0 B7 ^- v, T
• Proven experience with word processing, databases, and spreadsheets using Microsoft Office3 ^+ [7 ?3 U- K: K
• Detail oriented and demonstrated accuracy in work

• Knowledge and experience of cash handling procedures
