. z n' v b+ T7 g' S( F WYWCA Edmonton has an opportunity for a permanent Payroll Administrator position. The Payroll Administrator is responsible for the processing the YWCA payroll, accounts receivables, and other finance related duties. ' V7 H' n* E) h1 E
Job Responsibilities:

7 x* z& z! e; _# ^Payroll:
" e8 R, ]+ a8 g• Verify and process required documents when a new employee is hired; j/ e, `- ? }- V
• Prepare and complete the twice monthly organization’s payroll
. \7 _# W% i6 i5 e• Ensure the maintenance of confidential up-to-date personnel records
. R, K+ m7 \; W6 q; b0 ~% E+ k• Input benefit deductions into payroll

Reporting duties:
( r) N6 G, J$ k C' h0 x7 N• Prepare RSP contribution file and send to RSP provider- F2 t3 q* Y" r$ Z6 F* `
• Prepare New Hires report for Statistics Canada and upload it onto the Statistics Canada website0 Y0 R; E& a0 Y1 m( @0 _! {4 A0 y
• Reconcile payroll to T-4’s and T-4A’s and prepare and send T-4’s and T-4A’s
1 ]* g- J0 r# P4 O1 |6 N• Reconcile Worker’s Compensation Board expense to payroll, and submit Worker’s Compensation Report to WCB authority
# H" \$ [8 X+ ~8 a& B" b$ e( K6 \- [• Complete employee records of employment and salary confirmations

" L Y; v' W0 I" L+ D6 g% X; xCompliance:
Z) {7 r, j$ Z9 I: d% e! a• Ensure compliance with Canada Revenue Agency’s regulations regarding payroll
/ D: y; _5 g& ~ b/ f7 j- v4 [• Ensure compliance with Alberta Labour Standards and other provincial regulations regarding payroll.) [& }& _6 [: A$ l
• Ensure procedures for safeguarding and releasing personal information comply with Freedom of Information and Privacy regulations, provincial privacy legislation and YWCA Edmonton Human Resources Policies
% N* U# F6 k& R+ a' a$ m" U• Act as information liaison between Worker’s Compensation Board and managers, and ensure compliance with Worker’s Compensation Board reporting

Accounts Receivable:; O- J" [$ Z5 A, r( p) @% ^
• Complete data entry of all receipts, cash and direct deposit; d8 t$ K- {; l* g$ q; [
• Note discrepancies between receipts and invoicing, and communicate discrepancies to appropriate department. _" i& U, _0 m4 x& C
• Conduct debit and credit adjustments up to a limit of $10.00 and ensure manager’s approval is required for adjustments7 A6 y. c+ i4 Q& Z$ Y7 m8 q
• Prepare and complete miscellaneous third party billing! p/ F# |" W+ }/ [( s8 K5 ~+ J
$ m: X8 D6 ?3 w6 [5 r& EQualifications:
$ t" w+ D- L: }. R% ]" e6 ]8 b; V3 o0 j4 A
• Post secondary education in computerized Accounting and Payroll Programs including working knowledge of Accpac ERP* q% z. f: p& ? D2 @3 x: u9 ~
• Completion or in process of completion for certification by the Canadian Payroll Association% s9 f9 ]5 ]& ^0 B% l% H
• Minimum 2 years experience in a payroll related position
5 y) W; \: ~$ Y# Q9 ]• Proven experience with word processing, databases, and spreadsheets using Microsoft Office
