5 R8 l; ^( {9 a; p6 {# aAdvocate Non-Violence. YOUCAN has served youth in the Edmonton area for the past
( \3 B2 R! w  X# d( E0 ^; X2 [nine years and our mission is to equip youth to engage and inspire others to
- P% m" ?  V2 S# {peacefully resolve conflicts and develop healthy relationships in their communities.
The YOUCAN VERTO Project is a Government of Canada and Government of Albertafunded
- I; r5 ~) J9 c
project that will bring at-risk youth together into a unique 15 -week groupbased
) N( x) }$ k3 b- F4 t# ]! T' xemployability skills program entitled “The VERTO Project”.
9 N. G8 w) M' V& U9 F! H, EThe goal of the VERTO Program is to assist participants in obtaining and maintaining
the skills necessary to bring success into their lives. Verto program will expose
- d% U0 {! Q6 W+ r$ [participants to a wide range of components focusing on: employment development,
personal wellness, technology learning, conflict resolution, and exposure courses.
# p& R7 j8 N/ @- SAdditionally, we will incorporate topics around health and wellness, volunteerism,
and leadership courses. Verto youth will be provided with a six-month employment
follow-up once the program is completed.

' C3 z9 c# ^& I6 R  a# sYOUCAN office, located at 11124-130 St. (Westmount Jr. High School) in Edmonton, Alberta.
