Position:        Youth Leader
Duration of Commitment:Summer T.A.N.G. Youth Program
' R0 o7 V; r+ r9 _Camp 1 – July 04 – July 14
Camp 2 – July 31 – August 11 (must attend an overnight camp on August 10 to 11)
" H( q; P7 I& A4 o" v" o1 QTime:0915 to 1600(Regular Program Time)
*might work in other time in some specific days
Place: ASSIST Community Services Centre

Program Coordinator:        Daniel SUEN


Duties:
" F/ a0 I9 O' \5 d+ x4 S4 [To assist the T.A.N.G. Youth Program Coordinator by providing clerical and/or activities support in the followings:

 Distribution of promotion flyers to schools, churches, communities and relevant social agencies and professionals
2 b8 j4 w0 b$ s; V Take attendance if available
# m/ [/ X2 F; J( Y9 F Provide positive modelling to youth
6 Z1 n1 L" O2 b1 Z Facilitate or assist in ice-breaking games and/or other activities
 Facilitate or assist in small group discussions
 Research activities related to the session’s topic upon advice of the Program Coordinator
 Watch out on the safety of youth either in centre or fieldtrips
 Report to the Program Coordinator for any doubts or concerns and/or any troubleshoot behaviour
8 }$ _  [* q. d6 R" t Act according to the guidance or direction of the Program Coordinator
 Must follow guidelines or procedures stipulated in the manual/training
8 ]7 a7 }; n8 R- s& b9 Z) t Attend debriefing sessions/ongoing training
 Assist in program planning/design
& O1 z, ]  l  C) o Any other program related tasks as assigned by the Program Coordinator

Attitude/Skills Requirements

 Mature, sensible, patient, organized, willing to take and follow instruction
( N+ _% b# l- T" H+ j Be open and willing to initiate and maintain a positive relationship with youths in the program, or youth who is matched on an one-on-one basis
. U1 O8 S$ O5 e; M3 n  P A team player, can get along well with other staff & volunteers
9 a% u% V& l% ]! G; E: d4 ^& i# \ Concentrate efforts in the group session or activities over other distractions
( }% o# j- ?2 ~% }7 o Able to work independently with minimum supervision
! t) D0 ?! u; e1 o/ e$ P' b5 S' N" g Value building on strengths in children, youth and families
* Y1 b  _7 l# J+ u: B  n Able to get along with youth and/or youth who might at risk
 Certain proficiency in English and Chinese
