Over last decade, I have used many window upgrade companies. Here are some of my suggestions:& Z% }4 G" ]3 y# C! }
- You really need triple-pane windows ,not only for the sound proof, but for the Edmonton winter. The price is not much differnt from double-pane but the performance almost doubled;/ ^+ e; ~6 n1 W, D, L1 \, X" N
- I have tried many brands of windows, Hometech, Economic Windows, All-Weather windows, Jeldwen (by Home Depot). The best would be Hometech. All-weather is also good but the price is too high lately. I just had one big bay-window by Economic Windows in this April. Looks great but don't know how good for the real winter.6 y0 j" g! H, h: \" K" w& ^0 [2 Q
- Stay away from craps like Durabuilt or Sunrise Windows. Cheap stuff.
