1. It's cool.
" N4 o- z# I% |# X
(可指人或事物)也就是 something good or acceptable;situation is under control;being calm, gentle, courteous or good-looking;meet teen's standard. 所以可以说: / n; C) V1 r- a" A6 v+ M+ a5 N+ o
    That's cool;he is cool;this is cool.
+ c% U7 `- h0 K& n4 q! J    Skydiving (或surfing) is cool.(跳伞或冲浪运动很不错)
' j7 ^7 o) C8 ?# A, |; o5 F5 R2 x) R$ h
主词可用任何人称的单复数 (I, we, they 等),动词可用 verb to be 的任何时态 (is, was, were, will be, have been等)。
- J& D# J1 C3 k! b  |1 G    She (He) was cool in the past.
! J2 M1 w/ Y0 \7 D    That's a cool T-shirt.(好看的运动衫) 9 Z" @- b8 F2 B5 L1 v7 L" M
    He (she) is a cool person.(文雅礼貌的人) ' b! r* M- u, Y9 I  k( y

$ _- V! E1 d6 @/ Q& A+ j7 U- q但是如果说:Are you cool?又是指「你冷吗?」(cool = cold),可见 cool 当口头禅或俚语时,多半不用在问句。假如说:
/ v* x6 I' h- i    She looks as cool as a cucumber. 又是恭维语,是说她很 calm and charming; not
- s4 J) h! z8 R2 ^    emotional.
; E* P0 s  A8 R* w8 u' ~$ x    (注:许多华人把 cool 译成「很酷」) , V) [2 r- Y2 s% v6 C

2 ^2 z5 i, q' H% _) s3 b. a0 {' q2. Are you trippin'?, h. |! M& g+ M2 e" |
+ N. r% b8 L# Y7 v5 d! v
这个字是现在分词当形容词用,是指行为异乎寻常,也许受到吸毒或喝酒的影响,而显得神魂颠倒、奇形怪状(to get high on drug such as LSD),也就是说:要不是受到药、酒的影响,你为什 显得这样古怪呢?(Are you under any influence of drug or alcoholic? Why are you so crazy and bizarre?)
    They are trippin'. (= tripping) % k1 a! m8 Z$ r- L  V# x6 O& d
    She (he) is trippin'.
+ W2 T; w# m6 ~7 EMr. A must be trippin'. 0 X/ c5 x& j3 `1 y9 K: t
$ _, w  y+ t  c5 g
3 c1 h( |! `! T4 p4 D) r% w0 a+ I' C3. He is a nerd8 x. r: ~$ B9 Z) R  L  {" g
: y% x  B, b! k2 h  M
(A person always buries his nose in books, but not good at social situations.)
    He used to be a nerd in high school
/ G2 S/ e3 K( h) d- W5 P# v& h1 j; a7 v
4. Yo baby
0 V  {# [9 f; `! B4 e- I, L7 n/ y) E# N8 }& E/ H
(He thinks she is pretty and attractive, so he wants to speak to her.),也就是找话题,想要「打开话匣」。(to use as a form of opening line or pick-up line or to begin a greeting; try to know her or date her) 如果说: 8 W9 z- s, l  t5 y
    Yo baby, are you trippin'?
May I help you with something? I think I have met you somewhere before. " M8 D. ^1 e8 @4 i, z2 m7 L
    Hey, hey, hey, what's going on?“what is going on?”就是年轻黑人打招呼的用语 (a form of greeting or open statement) 或 Hey, hey, hey, are you going to the movie?(帅哥,你是去看电影吗?)
$ F/ g  i) h$ ]. x& C8 l" x) s+ \2 Y/ D
5. She is a ho
$ N8 h$ r  o, k; d' @
(a girl or woman gives sex freely without charge),也就是说:She is very loose. 或 She is a loose woman (girl)。 I4 O' z( H0 D/ `
    They are (were) hos.
9 _3 c, O; `% y% r, L. u    There are quite a few hos in high schools. (a girl or woman is paid for sex.)
; Z( z6 }* f+ @1 _2 m) C  x; r: j6 C1 A* _, V! a8 J' r
6. Catch you later!
+ [3 s& ^8 G% i% `5 E1 A+ g
(a form to say“good乡bye”) 也就是说:现在没有时间与你交谈,以後再谈吧!(I don't have time to talk with you now, but we can talk later.) catch 後面,也可用其他人称代名词(him, her, them 等) ( E! F( r7 b0 @
有时年轻小伙子也用:I am off. I am leaving now; I'll talk to you again.
9 R) B7 m# `( k9 v% B(我要走了,再谈吧!)
