; r( Q. u v) _SEDI is hiring an in-house financial literacy trainer/coordinator who will help build financial literacy programs across Canada. + L$ h3 h( z q5 @
SEDI is staffed to: 9 U! G$ Q' h: _
• conduct socio-economic market and policy research
( c0 B' |5 F0 w2 w" T• act as a knowledge broker between communities and policy makers, and influence public policies that affect low income earners
! v7 N9 ], a; r7 c, H! t; A- @• develop socio-economic programs and manage their implementation 8 {; ]4 f, \% e, m1 w; l
• partner with other nonprofits across Canada to deliver programs

; u. ~5 v, U+ o D• work strategically with the public and private sectors to develop innovative responses

Primary Responsibilities and Activities: 7 [, t( o; O, x3 S3 Q# p
• Facilitation of forums and training of trainers sessions (basic financial literacy) with staff at partner community organizations across Canada 0 q3 C* N2 _& i7 Y
• Assistance in the development and design of financial literacy tools (ie- curriculum, videos etc)
7 J1 v# C, i. @3 u• Coordination of activities and communication with delivery sites of the CCFL as required 9 F7 v* \$ _+ L* |
• Working with the website and communications teams on CCFL communications activities $ l" z1 ~% S; @4 G* S* W: Y3 S
• Working with evaluation and management information systems team " m; q! }) t* N4 h" ?6 |& {# e d
• Other CCFL duties (reporting, evaluation, communications) as required

3 W: c! t2 B- P5 ^2 l% v6 L2 W• Providing support to implement research and evaluation activities, solve implementation challenges, and fine-tune strategies
5 E1 x! F2 D7 ~. Y" x• Organizing and monitoring the collection of all evaluation forms, surveys, and reports from project partners
2 e& V( \: ? @2 X s• Working with in-house Management Information System staff to facilitate data input, analysis and reporting 2 q7 p% y9 ?' ~4 r1 S9 J
• Writing and editing of research and evaluation reports, project reports and internal progress reports 7 O: Q. O1 ]; A; F
• Participating in the development of Internet-based strategies for sharing findings/effective practices and for promoting learning ( h! e) u; k, Y% N2 X& V( _+ \
Primary Qualifications:
5 j: P, }- j2 H2 M: z( O• Demonstrated group facilitation experience - N" d& B* d) D: S7 `+ `4 S
• Strong communication and public speaking skills; including comfortable with new technology and social media
7 C. I; @# J7 W$ s1 F& s• Able to travel across Canada to conduct training : X" [$ M! Y3 B! I. w* e& Y% G/ q
• Entrepreneurial spirit, can proactively identify prospective opportunities + d( {0 F% F6 [4 F! L
• Highly motivated self-starter with team orientation; ability to build committed and collaborative teams

• Experience in ‘training of trainers’ activities or education 1 M5 w+ g% }1 ~0 `! @7 J/ i
• Content / curriculum development experience

• Computer skills: Word, ACCESS, Power Point etc.

• Marketing and communication experience an asset
