Position: Outreach Worker I( Z+ ?$ m/ M# k8 O) l6 u3 ~- ^

- promote the Centre’s ISP to community organizations, businesses, educational institutions, etc. by in-person presentations, phone or sending relevant information1 H1 R6 t7 @& W2 a1 R
- promote ISP in various media: newspaper, radio, newsletter, etc.
4 V8 B; {3 p( {* H- a- develop or update brochures, pamphlets, information packages, etc. for ISP8 K8 i4 X9 v7 v# I; h0 y% i
- provide support to ISP staff
- @' I; \1 s0 s g' |- recruit new members to the Newcomers Club and maintain existing members
; S' d9 v0 \. h& E- promote, organize and coordinate the Newcomers Club’s activities
& m( x7 g+ w8 `- outreach in different areas of the city where new immigrants are concentrated
' c+ L/ T1 L* l& o/ P' y0 u- attend meetings relevant to ISP and outreach work to advocate issues and concerns of new immigrants

- assist with front counter services as needed and assigned

Qualifications2 p8 t2 e7 R& L Z* T# W
- degree/diploma in social work/human services and eligibility to be registered to area of discipline; relevant experience with community services/projects/immigrants will be considered
8 l. x1 H" @% W6 U/ u' t- knowledge of immigrant issues and concerns, community resources and services available5 M' O9 g1 P: F0 Z* v, o; y* u0 f* U5 C
- experience in working with community groups and community liaison workers( A0 R/ x/ a8 l, H/ ~
- good computer skills using Microsoft and Chinese software
; w7 {( K2 o: }$ H. n! U5 P) }! [- speak & write Chinese (fluent in Mandarin preferred)
