Job Description% C0 y) L& _+ t
- promote the Centre’s ISP to community organizations, businesses, educational institutions, etc. by in-person presentations, phone or sending relevant information& [8 J9 b4 t- |3 w, o3 G
- promote ISP in various media: newspaper, radio, newsletter, etc.
6 Z2 L% H2 C2 K: l- develop or update brochures, pamphlets, information packages, etc. for ISP b- e5 J' o% d. \
- provide support to ISP staff
- `9 A' P- I. G' _( @4 D8 k; y- recruit new members to the Newcomers Club and maintain existing members
|. Z6 S; j3 [ r5 z5 J( N# z# J- promote, organize and coordinate the Newcomers Club’s activities
# y& S1 y8 Q7 b3 d4 t2 V9 X- outreach in different areas of the city where new immigrants are concentrated' ~7 R4 ~- q$ z6 u9 o O, r
- attend meetings relevant to ISP and outreach work to advocate issues and concerns of new immigrants
! |. t9 ]5 {. R# a1 W/ l- adapt to a flexible working schedule to accommodate the program’s goals' S A, y; y1 T* K$ |
- fulfill the goals and objectives of ISP as contracted by funder' N' A/ o9 z4 }: D7 m* |
- report writing, data collection, conduct evaluations, budget management, etc.
' x& }+ q! ^' g; b8 V. @; I8 D- recruit and coordinate volunteers to assist with outreach activities0 c* [. d0 w% R. k9 d E9 y0 F
- assist with front counter services as needed and assigned: f1 k( g4 q% a
- other duties as assigned

Qualifications: G4 X/ }& m. o- J
- degree/diploma in social work/human services and eligibility to be registered to area of discipline; relevant experience with community services/projects/immigrants will be considered4 Q2 @$ ]8 a- I
- knowledge of immigrant issues and concerns, community resources and services available8 a8 t! a C3 ~$ Z0 c, D
- experience in working with community groups and community liaison workers: r! | d q( `$ u& M+ R& h! j6 m
- good computer skills using Microsoft and Chinese software
& {: ]7 K( o1 y2 y" M7 Z- speak & write Chinese (fluent in Mandarin preferred)6 b( D/ R: {- ?( s1 l/ J
- good interpersonal and people skills! `9 H, | c' I, ~! {
- good organizational and coordination skills
