 Provide information regarding job search strategies and labour market information.

 Maintain all resources in the Resource Room insuring that they are current and relevant.

 Support newcomers participation in the settlement program.

 Encourage independence and self determination in newcomers

 Liaise effectively with a range of service providers, both voluntary and statutory, in order to ensure services are available to newcomers.5 x% O; {  {9 U0 K8 d1 u
 Accompany newcomers to other agencies and to act as advocate as necessary.

 Keep up-to-date all other administrative tasks as directed by the Program Co-ordinator.

 Responsible for intake, orientation and completion of workability assessments.
) G/ a. C! X' E Deliver program overview to potential clients, as well as other interested parties.* G7 v: F2 A; ~; H- R  @
 Screen and assess clients’ skills and abilities through a workability assessment.
& m. I2 N- ^% z7 i Determination of which stream of services most appropriate for the client.9 w& z3 `. f9 b' _
 Provide referral information on other services that may be more suitable for the client.0 ^6 ]* \0 G+ s# v- o
 Cooperatively with the client, develop an individualized service plan.
5 f4 {' A' K: D, H4 j Create and update clients files on Mobius computer system

 Interact with participants on a continuous basis so that the Service Plan progress can be monitored throughout the program and into the follow up period
9 P  g# R+ T) e" g5 _4 _' C: r Ensure participants’ progress is tracked and recorded
) x# x8 J& i) l- q) d. V6 T Ensure that participants have access to the required supports to successfully complete their Service Plan
9 l5 W+ d6 v4 z. q5 x6 h Assist clients in maintaining a job or in identifying barriers/issues that keep clients from obtaining/maintaining employment
9 Y1 O# U0 C$ U3 i! B Assist clients with obtaining required documentation for working in their profession in Canada
; W; Y2 Y9 ~& N- F* X6 f% W% @ Develop and maintain knowledge of current programs and services available for participants" `5 ]' C. \9 c# C
 Complete participant reviews with the participants
& F# P0 q9 ?; g" K/ v Complete 90 and 180 day follow up with client after training completion
% d4 F) i4 |  b# l4 q Perform other duties as assigned by manager/coordinator
