Alberta College is governed by an independent Board of Governors 5 I! n* Z6 Q ?$ `+ _# }- C; f
drawn from a wide cross-section of the community. Established in ) G- l3 w& g p5 ~6 W
1903, Alberta College predates both the City of Edmonton and the
' t+ W$ P9 A- h: H9 s& `. J* DProvince of Alberta. It was founded by concerned citizens as the * b+ @% q4 Q5 p9 T+ x' d) q& Q c
first post-secondary school in the area, on land bequeathed by
' Q; w3 [$ G: e5 f& t+ A7 O& ^$ i: f, cpioneer George McDougall for educational purposes. The College

the first of its kind in Canada, providing opportunities for
