We are currently recruiting for an intermediate level C# analyst for one of our provincial government clients. It is a 1-year contract with possible extensions, and work location is Edmonton, Alberta.

Reporting directly to the Team Leader and indirectly to the Associate Director of Royalty/Tenure/Communication Applications, the Systems Analyst(s) will perform requirements gathering, maintenance, enhancement, development, and testing tasks on existing in house desktop and/or web applications. The prospective Resource requires a broad knowledge of object oriented technologies, C# programming experience, experience in development and maintenance of large applications, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and a proven ability to function within a team. The ability to lead requirements sessions with business, and formally document the requirements identified in the sessions, is vital to this position.

Responsibilities may include:

- Leading and/or facilitating requirements sessions with business users;

. _! u, H" r  q+ s% Q6 j- Performing detailed analysis and design of proposed application changes;

  k0 G" e  p, A; M9 W6 j, i0 t- Performing program modifications and enhancements with minimal direction;

: |) S" M; _, h1 x6 _2 I0 K- Providing impact analysis of proposed business changes on the application, in terms of development effort and processing;

- Developing and executing test cases and scenarios and documenting expected and actual outcomes;

- Providing resolution to problems arising in the production version of the application;

- Leading a subset of the larger team in a particular short term enhancement effort;

* x' I1 s9 D- z- Adhering to quality assurance guidelines and maintaining quality assurance on all deliverables;

: Q0 j6 U; b/ V3 ^: H4 k- Liaising with testing teams, client community, and operations areas;

- Status reporting to team leader as required;
