We are currently recruiting for an intermediate level C# analyst for one of our provincial government clients. It is a 1-year contract with possible extensions, and work location is Edmonton, Alberta.

Reporting directly to the Team Leader and indirectly to the Associate Director of Royalty/Tenure/Communication Applications, the Systems Analyst(s) will perform requirements gathering, maintenance, enhancement, development, and testing tasks on existing in house desktop and/or web applications. The prospective Resource requires a broad knowledge of object oriented technologies, C# programming experience, experience in development and maintenance of large applications, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and a proven ability to function within a team. The ability to lead requirements sessions with business, and formally document the requirements identified in the sessions, is vital to this position.

1 f) @* L4 T  s$ }- Leading and/or facilitating requirements sessions with business users;

! V+ a5 R1 j: |) u0 W3 i- Performing detailed analysis and design of proposed application changes;

& m/ V2 [2 i/ J+ x6 ~7 L! Q% _- Performing program modifications and enhancements with minimal direction;

* l2 |2 o- t6 p0 E- Providing impact analysis of proposed business changes on the application, in terms of development effort and processing;

- Developing and executing test cases and scenarios and documenting expected and actual outcomes;

; H7 B1 ]# H. {- K- Providing resolution to problems arising in the production version of the application;

' N/ k) B, E1 d8 R# A- Leading a subset of the larger team in a particular short term enhancement effort;

- Developing programs to extract or convert data for use elsewhere;

# l7 {9 u2 K% \0 j9 l- Adhering to quality assurance guidelines and maintaining quality assurance on all deliverables;

- Providing on-call support on an as-needed basis;

- Status reporting to team leader as required;

- Developing and maintaining application documentation; and

- Using modeling techniques for data, process and business design.
