We are currently recruiting for an intermediate level C# analyst for one of our provincial government clients. It is a 1-year contract with possible extensions, and work location is Edmonton, Alberta.

5 }+ F; b4 ]+ H- U7 AReporting directly to the Team Leader and indirectly to the Associate Director of Royalty/Tenure/Communication Applications, the Systems Analyst(s) will perform requirements gathering, maintenance, enhancement, development, and testing tasks on existing in house desktop and/or web applications. The prospective Resource requires a broad knowledge of object oriented technologies, C# programming experience, experience in development and maintenance of large applications, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and a proven ability to function within a team. The ability to lead requirements sessions with business, and formally document the requirements identified in the sessions, is vital to this position.

Responsibilities may include:

0 F+ p1 y1 Y5 Q+ U) l; H0 u2 t- Gathering and documenting requirements;

3 n5 _1 q6 I% A  G, R5 e7 s' C% u! ~- Leading and/or facilitating requirements sessions with business users;

- t, s/ y8 ~4 H1 s8 ~- Performing detailed analysis and design of proposed application changes;

- Performing program modifications and enhancements with minimal direction;

, T, J8 u0 ]0 K4 f5 Q9 [% D) i- Providing impact analysis of proposed business changes on the application, in terms of development effort and processing;

- Developing and executing test cases and scenarios and documenting expected and actual outcomes;

& j! C1 u6 m/ ?2 p  ]) Q- Providing resolution to problems arising in the production version of the application;

- Leading a subset of the larger team in a particular short term enhancement effort;

- e& h' j1 p, B1 s' _- Developing programs to extract or convert data for use elsewhere;

9 `2 ]; J# P1 J- Adhering to quality assurance guidelines and maintaining quality assurance on all deliverables;

- Using modeling techniques for data, process and business design.
