an engineer or engineering technologist in Alberta:

recognize their international experience or credentials.

4 I; W s3 z; c3 \& e# hIntegrated training offers a blend of occupation-related skills, a work
! x4 }; B, T) ]; |/ yexperience and competency-based training, such as applied academics or
, B" J3 a5 J6 ]% d' R! h# REnglish as a Second Language.

The training components of ETIP assist participants in developing skills' Z" u' q+ I: Q, ]7 v
required for the Alberta workplace. Training includes:

• engineering-related training delivered at NAIT:9 k4 U2 @+ a4 ]5 G# i
􀂉 450 hours of in-class time

and recognition of professional qualifications in the engineering

What is the evidence of success?- ?7 O5 \$ W$ x. ~& P% H# S
As of 2003, more than 80% of ETIP graduates over the past six years have
% S; E0 {9 k6 @ q' C& l$ `1 P! j$ wfound engineering or engineering technologist employment in Alberta.
: C8 T# d! \8 S& q9 n" aIn 2004, 46 engineers graduated from the ETIP program. At the time of, q4 X( S4 Z) r, o9 h
graduation, almost half had secured employment in the engineering industry,
, ~; t; @ w8 |' ?$ T' Z+ cwith over 90% employed at three months post-graduation.
