Edmonton police assured residents that they had no reason to be fearful, but officers did ask neighbours for their shoe sizes and vital stats during a canvass of the area.

“They (police) asked us what size shoes we wore and how tall we were and our weight,” said a woman who lives across the street from the crime scene but didn’t want her name published.1 g. _# i# W1 P- s5 N" ~

“It’s upsetting. But we’re not too worried,” she added, noting police told them that there “wasn’t anything for us to be concerned about.”

The woman was found slain inside the 1,200-square-foot home shortly before 4 p.m. Monday, said Edmonton police spokeswoman Lisa Sobchyshyn.( S. W5 f2 d% y' E

Forensics officers continued to probe the scene at 10816 52 St. on Tuesday night.
