* U! F- `4 o( @9 N, w Complete comprehensive intake and needs assessment process and develop referral and case plans to support newcomers in fully settling and participating in the community  
+ g! o! m" Y1 D& d& f Continue to follow-up with newcomers, EMCN staff and other service providers to ensure newcomers’ needs are met     
1 z! h- _, v! F" n  n Provide holistic counselling to individuals and families, including hands-on support with accessing resources and resolving difficult issues
* K/ u& }) K+ h' h4 l  F( W( W Advocate on newcomers’ behalf to programs, institutions and service providers
0 a4 {/ s; s( d- R3 I' |8 Y Research and maintain current information about programs and resources available in the community
 Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with staff of programs and services in the city and ensure EMCN clients access the most appropriate solutions to meet their needs
 Work as a team with EMCN staff to ensure holistic supports are provided to newcomers.

Qualifications
1 _0 D" f; D* w# k. V Social work degree or diploma
 Current RSW designation preferred   
* a. _6 o9 T0 l Demonstrated experience with holistic case management and supportive counselling
& e8 _+ r' r" W" R8 w' A7 P8 N6 Y! w Knowledge of and experience in accessing a wide range of programs, services and supports available in the City  
' X2 ]! X* K# r. j  D Ability to effectively listen, assess needs and guide people in a supportive manner
, r) g+ [7 B% O# S2 Y$ D5 i Sensitivity to cross-cultural issues
4 |6 Z7 `% j4 B# i! g# M Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
 Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
 Ability to perform variety of diverse tasks under time pressure.
