/ v! X' [6 k! Q Complete comprehensive intake and needs assessment process and develop referral and case plans to support newcomers in fully settling and participating in the community  
( H& H! c9 _" r& q4 c9 F Continue to follow-up with newcomers, EMCN staff and other service providers to ensure newcomers’ needs are met     
 Provide holistic counselling to individuals and families, including hands-on support with accessing resources and resolving difficult issues
* U& K5 {" T: C% K- m Advocate on newcomers’ behalf to programs, institutions and service providers
 Research and maintain current information about programs and resources available in the community
 Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with staff of programs and services in the city and ensure EMCN clients access the most appropriate solutions to meet their needs
5 L* T: Q+ o+ e# z: n9 K- V Work as a team with EMCN staff to ensure holistic supports are provided to newcomers.

Qualifications
- u) S/ }% v. X8 O6 t# I Social work degree or diploma
 Current RSW designation preferred   
 Demonstrated experience with holistic case management and supportive counselling
 Knowledge of and experience in accessing a wide range of programs, services and supports available in the City  
+ ^8 F% c) w$ L+ [5 E Ability to effectively listen, assess needs and guide people in a supportive manner
 Sensitivity to cross-cultural issues
9 B9 Z) c  ^+ g) Y3 J" Z Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
2 E( P! l8 c0 _: w6 m  M Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
1 K9 Z( ]: [* k* Y, g. O. ^ Ability to perform variety of diverse tasks under time pressure.
