Responsibilities
 Complete comprehensive intake and needs assessment process and develop referral and case plans to support newcomers in fully settling and participating in the community  
 Continue to follow-up with newcomers, EMCN staff and other service providers to ensure newcomers’ needs are met     
 Provide holistic counselling to individuals and families, including hands-on support with accessing resources and resolving difficult issues
 Advocate on newcomers’ behalf to programs, institutions and service providers
 Research and maintain current information about programs and resources available in the community
2 y% M5 [4 |: S5 D Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with staff of programs and services in the city and ensure EMCN clients access the most appropriate solutions to meet their needs
 Work as a team with EMCN staff to ensure holistic supports are provided to newcomers.

Qualifications
 Social work degree or diploma
 Current RSW designation preferred   
% b' ]8 Q  Y0 ], x. M Demonstrated experience with holistic case management and supportive counselling
! t0 |3 \0 \5 p; s9 I Knowledge of and experience in accessing a wide range of programs, services and supports available in the City  
 Ability to effectively listen, assess needs and guide people in a supportive manner
! |1 E: |& C. |9 j( i8 C, f- y Sensitivity to cross-cultural issues
 Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills

 Ability to perform variety of diverse tasks under time pressure.
