Duties
0 R$ @0 q6 r, p9 ^; {+ K& p% ^Assists with the creation and implementation of computer software as directed by the project management team (includes leading edge machine learning techniques, robot control, gaming and simulation)
' f/ ?3 h7 f! V9 `0 L1 pProvides techical support to end-users as directed and is responsible for ensuring end-user usability and satisfaction when required
: @5 k, V. B1 D- R. P! Z, ~Performs other general programiming tasks such as building GUI (graphical user interfaces) front ends, etc. as directed5 Y# f: m0 c& _# {; S
Performs related tasks as needed

- W) P) {6 a1 R& }3 M5 O9 LDiploma in Computing Science; undergraduate degree in Computing Science preferred1 O" j; |1 f. y0 V
Demonstrated work experience with Web programming and scripting tools such as PHP and Perl, and mySQL database design and management; knowledge of MatLab, Weka and CVS repository system preferred
# ]" L+ p5 Q! ^; q% ^, fSolid knowledge of microcomputer operating systems (Windows XP as well as Unix/Linux); experience in other domains (Bioinformatics, electronic entertainment, ecommerce) an asset; Dynamic programming an asset1 d( x K( [9 a& C
Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning technologies preferred" m9 m" v- c9 L3 C/ x
Familiarity with object orientated analysis and design and project life-cycle methodologies is a benefit$ ]9 f8 G3 e% D9 t- }: G1 m3 u; U9 W
Relevant programming experience using Java, C++, and other programming languages) ?+ C/ E b* @5 m3 j2 [, Z1 O( @
