移民签证时护照的有效期限

申请技术移民，今年7月初在edmonton体检，一直在等待。
前几天突然想起明年3月现在的护照就过期了
0 a7 U9 {  m' z" j1 Y请问如果近期收到passport request，寄去做移民签证的话，是否护照有效期必须是6个月以上呢？

应该不用的吧，没有哪个地方说护照有效期要有6个月的。
这个是具体要求：

We require an original VALID passport for yourself and every accompanying family
member. Passports for you and all accompanying family members should be submitted
! t6 p& [* g$ F% \together.

$ X% A2 M1 f6 b% `* EThere must be at least two blank visa pages in each passport.
4 S6 v+ F' Y% F; L, B
If there are children included in your passport there must be visa pages for them as well.

Please note: Immigrant visas cannot be placed in Diplomatic, Official or Military
passports.
