Key Responsibilities & Duties:

2 ?& G B/ ]$ m3 W, F7 K9 ^9 m" N Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
$ t- T! B" j( |3 z Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site., ]8 Q8 _8 ]7 a/ ^$ A. D
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.; k6 z g, D, J4 Y9 e
 Completing required paperwork.: t9 x9 Q+ ]! n+ K" {* D
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
' O4 z" r8 M: [& V2 {9 S Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.& g" C. ^, u7 M2 f: X# w
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
! q. ^+ H% ]& c, t1 s Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.* s0 z2 r( i. n4 v3 j
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
# m h8 z3 \9 ^; k4 x5 { Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.$ @/ R) `* b% k; N0 P2 Q
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.& h: N: r4 Q. H* G8 ~6 G0 }. f7 B

Qualifications:, v: R. B5 ~' ~! e$ R; v
K- f) }* \/ _. G Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.) T3 u8 U" v) u# G s! v
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
, U3 ~1 _& [- X `" E) ]! [ Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
9 n E3 W3 s" j5 \- h$ a/ V& J) a Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.) r( V/ e6 Z. s
 Knowledge of community resources.
6 E% y6 S6 V \& { Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
. w/ j2 e1 s8 I6 i, D! Q$ x Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training. 2 h' U3 {- }% ?

This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; evening and weekend shifts; at an hourly rate of $12.50; starting February 8 2006. 5 l2 {9 Y& Q2 d
There is a 3-month probationary period. 6 `' v+ g6 p d
