Key Responsibilities & Duties:! w E/ e/ A0 ~

 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
0 B _) h% r% y( f9 c: M1 A Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
3 c% _$ u9 H( a" r; e Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.8 C; t7 a% f- B2 d- \4 T
 Completing required paperwork.
+ U% |# h0 ?$ a! S, _5 c; @ Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
( B) d$ ~; X! l; ` P$ b Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.: T( \# A$ q, x! f2 p
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
5 E7 T- I" U$ q5 ` Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
" P h) k7 }3 t) X$ N& s; w Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
! C" J8 {- Z3 _; p Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
! ?. P# Y- a# T( J Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

4 a, O; p' ~0 |' ?- B' V3 M Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
9 G% w) t: J) w% H& l' z Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
1 `) p% r' M) l0 J) I8 e Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.# u/ R0 x- R( u, U+ W
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.4 ~' t1 ?: m9 ~/ y9 L# f
 Knowledge of community resources.
) q. ^6 L0 |! A9 l9 B Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance., [6 T8 W( N6 M- q2 L& o
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training. ( j3 x% d: J& q; O3 t$ I6 a* Y$ z$ N
9 O) y3 Y! k& d+ F; ]Position:1 r" {7 G3 b! ]7 ]- m F0 R# ^
This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; evening and weekend shifts; at an hourly rate of $12.50; starting February 8 2006.
