 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
/ @* Y1 j$ c3 y0 h" r% J, T Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
g3 O4 n' }8 y. G( g Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.5 x0 m6 Z* b" u: J
 Completing required paperwork.
. Y- [+ }/ \/ S7 S: I4 q Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
0 K& \, x8 \0 |" Z. _1 k& D0 N" B Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
" I$ w1 {- h c) W Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information. + }0 k- o% S- b" W. V; L
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
. Z. B/ N6 x- c8 A$ c0 P0 V! y Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.

 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

2 `3 F8 S, y0 p; S: z) W) s. L Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
' b# M/ [5 Q8 |5 W S" K Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills. D& X" [8 N1 h; h
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.6 C9 R" i |* G
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
4 R# S8 H& K u4 M Knowledge of community resources.: d; O& r- i3 U1 g1 Y5 l: q/ o4 C& i3 t
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.5 V) p U# W5 j3 a6 G8 ]
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training. 5 v9 Q+ Q! ^0 H( a3 Q2 l Z

Position:# P2 o& o8 J) b, A6 I
This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; evening and weekend shifts; at an hourly rate of $12.50; starting February 8 2006.
