Key Responsibilities & Duties:

- {" A! I% N7 P0 n" Z) i* e Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth." a! o" O+ r" K: B: U
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
7 T7 A% x% y# I7 j" D3 m& ~ Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.+ x7 N$ E# }) W5 Z
 Completing required paperwork.( e; ]% Q3 }2 e3 i
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
* [% ~. O* h. o Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
! f- r5 X( o$ x# L" A& v0 ^8 r Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information. % q( p2 T! M+ B2 b- v0 n
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.' |8 @ _% u, H2 ?
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.

 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis. k, t5 ~2 u8 @; r

Qualifications:& S; n8 z" R( w
. l( ~3 p& a) }; n' { M$ F: u
 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
8 A7 I) `2 |$ n; {; Q- _. J" D Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
) X; \3 F$ l' g7 S, r8 @6 Z Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.' i1 l& T% | \0 ~# h
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.6 V/ {, X U8 V- e0 u
 Knowledge of community resources.
, p5 k9 ?/ ]# a7 K& \9 o. e0 m9 K Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
3 A* O' N% O% P8 j" O* ]$ O Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training. ! ^+ I' H: g# v6 `2 v

This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; evening and weekend shifts; at an hourly rate of $12.50; starting February 8 2006.
