! O, N0 P2 p& C- R f Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.* B; H) B7 n% \: S) I4 w2 L" b" l. H
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site." L4 F! z! A, W& o1 G& u V
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
& h1 c' [! H5 H7 l% ~3 r Completing required paperwork.
5 K b6 Y- B. O, D6 L; s Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
, q! ^# T% r% `7 k Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.$ J1 x3 k4 O/ A. w
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
& R5 H+ H* o3 S) a5 C Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.; u1 R( m" E7 h5 I8 K3 x
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.+ M8 V% ?' v* A: j& A L) i/ P
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.+ c% Y. A! g* m' S
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

Qualifications:# p0 W' n4 l& D _ a
' f" e0 L* @* V" j2 M% y; ` Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
. F( l5 j2 H4 n2 ~# i' e( | Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.- q+ l8 P! [9 B: P& g4 S% _
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
) }, E M6 A& e4 S2 F5 R Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.9 [( [0 }/ d0 C6 P$ B7 F' `
 Knowledge of community resources.' n5 ^, X9 C1 v ^
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
& J5 N4 J6 w8 p: s) h% a Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training. - A% V# f% @+ ?8 t( s2 W% z5 D0 J

Position: ^5 W& a+ q0 u8 ^3 A. j3 {
This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; evening and weekend shifts; at an hourly rate of $12.50; starting February 8 2006.
