 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
; \  F2 Z9 E+ F6 O; k' M( J# C7 | Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
) _) u5 _) ^4 i% I4 K Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
 Completing required paperwork.
' H" a& H) u# Y2 V" N- t% t: f+ Y Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
# T4 M) C$ G) Z% V- x9 A4 D Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
7 b7 J% G6 E& F: X" O Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
" j0 J6 ~( L) q1 V Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

2 f1 i; T) ^- K+ O  \0 } Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
0 \* d( _% ]9 C. O Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
  c  f/ u" I$ J% V8 L0 E- A8 u  | Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

  I' X$ E% u! H' r* FPosition:
This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
% j4 q9 U, j! estarting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
