 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
9 g; [7 T  J. ]7 |2 n5 M Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
 Completing required paperwork.
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
6 Q1 F3 {) |8 d Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
' Y  @( S5 ?4 `, { Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
, w3 m6 i2 ~! d4 d3 y) { Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
+ l# |: ]6 H+ y  O5 D' ^ Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

Qualifications:

 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
3 E0 |& S- I7 s4 I2 s( D Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
- K/ z! q) s7 C  _; y+ H$ Y" l6 ?' G Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.
. J- I- G% I& ?: G* P/ V Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

- S3 ]( T& e0 Q" RPosition:
6 q  B1 I# L  C; {This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
2 J# A5 {& u8 nstarting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
