 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
9 T$ _0 d3 ~+ k8 f( p Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
 Completing required paperwork.
" a1 `5 f/ o) R  w' {- N0 S Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
/ h0 Q' r* p, P+ V, C3 Z8 ?8 j Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
8 h3 I/ `, v6 n2 A1 b+ D0 C Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
  _2 E+ o) h, t; ~; L! P/ J Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

Qualifications:
, u6 @! ?# Z; A' ~2 O$ E/ f
 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
; K% F1 l1 X( D3 q+ ^: y% m Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
$ q4 }- h7 A  b Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

Position:
& l# z5 H3 j" Z& T% B& q8 o/ ~This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
7 u& `+ f# j5 {  L, @! Nstarting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
