Reporting to the Mechanical Engineer, the successful candidate is responsible for providing Mechanical (HVAC) Design guidance and support to the Design Team.

' @$ W% n  d4 h8 d: a+ JKey Responsibilities:

) p) s0 }, H8 S7 A5 s& AWorking with a team of draftspersons, designers and engineers, prepare drawings, specifications, and bill of materials for projects
Review, develop and improve processes and procedures
7 {; a/ i6 j  S( M% hResearch and develop efforts to improve product designs and costs
8 d2 ~2 \# ]+ Z. M* e  q( vMake sure all information is included on drawings, specifications and drawings requested by the manufacturing group and clients

" M, m/ o& F* vGraduate of a technical institute or mechanical trade journeyman
3 x- G0 Q! M+ w& j, M. G$ c/ {Minimum 2 years experience in design/drafting of HVAC systems for residential or commercial buildings
0 s9 c& d- U  A. G3 lMinimum 2 years experience working as a HVAC journeyman
Experience in HVAC systems commissioning and air balancing is an asset
Understanding of the Bill of Material generation process
$ w: H5 ^- m+ W( `$ LUnderstanding of drafting and design specifications for projects
) G% p. R  J/ m& \Competence with utilizing AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
/ q; o& C* z8 @/ BAbility to communicate with all levels of management
Ability to work independently as well as in a team
