Reporting to the Mechanical Engineer, the successful candidate is responsible for providing Mechanical (HVAC) Design guidance and support to the Design Team.

Key Responsibilities:

Working with a team of draftspersons, designers and engineers, prepare drawings, specifications, and bill of materials for projects
) b+ ^$ C. _! E1 q9 w6 tReview, develop and improve processes and procedures * ~! H/ j, z4 M% P- s8 _# P8 u1 r, V
Research and develop efforts to improve product designs and costs 3 N0 Q# g, n5 T! `/ f( ~% p' }
Make sure all information is included on drawings, specifications and drawings requested by the manufacturing group and clients 5 a; \2 Z( W) S: [5 n j
0 O! u3 v( Q/ E
Qualifications5 c( w. |% M' _; ]3 S$ m1 ]! L0 Q" A
1 N+ @; r2 h3 C0 t! k6 }" y
Graduate of a technical institute or mechanical trade journeyman + l3 p" U& \) c. H0 z
Minimum 2 years experience in design/drafting of HVAC systems for residential or commercial buildings & ^6 W @1 z3 Y3 U7 f+ O
Minimum 2 years experience working as a HVAC journeyman 2 c3 ^' T# g+ P7 [' @
Experience in HVAC systems commissioning and air balancing is an asset
; Z3 k; x1 l2 v; Z* w) k( e' V; rUnderstanding of the Bill of Material generation process 0 X( i+ i% z7 `% S
Understanding of drafting and design specifications for projects
" E2 a+ x1 g1 Y% I0 WCompetence with utilizing AutoCAD and Microsoft Office ; n! p4 T6 B5 |7 w: Y) Z
Ability to communicate with all levels of management
3 D! M; a* A" `: f# Z; dAbility to work independently as well as in a team/ d4 F" G6 d8 h; P* I( @$ B) I
