Reporting to the Mechanical Engineer, the successful candidate is responsible for providing Mechanical (HVAC) Design guidance and support to the Design Team.

Working with a team of draftspersons, designers and engineers, prepare drawings, specifications, and bill of materials for projects
' d( _. X! D  a2 m4 Z8 {! aReview, develop and improve processes and procedures
2 |1 p4 f; a# e% w% }+ UResearch and develop efforts to improve product designs and costs
9 O: d9 R2 B) m3 z4 XMake sure all information is included on drawings, specifications and drawings requested by the manufacturing group and clients

7 ?& w& r; @/ U" n- W6 @6 w! RQualifications
: w& K8 y9 F3 n0 o& q
5 U5 ], M3 c! D* J! s% u# SGraduate of a technical institute or mechanical trade journeyman
Minimum 2 years experience in design/drafting of HVAC systems for residential or commercial buildings
Minimum 2 years experience working as a HVAC journeyman
0 {( F$ B: d, ]2 {& rExperience in HVAC systems commissioning and air balancing is an asset
5 w1 z0 P& M  L. bUnderstanding of the Bill of Material generation process
Understanding of drafting and design specifications for projects
  x, T! X/ [& N, {Competence with utilizing AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
Ability to communicate with all levels of management
  Y- I! r" ^! @0 k% j1 X7 r- FAbility to work independently as well as in a team
