Reporting to the Mechanical Engineer, the successful candidate is responsible for providing Mechanical (HVAC) Design guidance and support to the Design Team.

& g8 S4 L* S8 U* L7 Q/ n% c$ h
Working with a team of draftspersons, designers and engineers, prepare drawings, specifications, and bill of materials for projects
Review, develop and improve processes and procedures
" }3 H! ~$ Q$ H- s2 |% oResearch and develop efforts to improve product designs and costs
Make sure all information is included on drawings, specifications and drawings requested by the manufacturing group and clients

Qualifications
& N8 d% e0 n! c3 w' {" ^
Graduate of a technical institute or mechanical trade journeyman
Minimum 2 years experience in design/drafting of HVAC systems for residential or commercial buildings
Minimum 2 years experience working as a HVAC journeyman
Experience in HVAC systems commissioning and air balancing is an asset
$ N( u  z: f- m! `Understanding of the Bill of Material generation process
9 }+ \- i: I. t& y" ]: LUnderstanding of drafting and design specifications for projects
# h7 z. H* x" n7 C7 ECompetence with utilizing AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
Ability to communicate with all levels of management
3 G7 H& G- q4 n+ V- n% vAbility to work independently as well as in a team
