An engineering start-up, which is committed to support the R&D and industrialization of process technologies in North America with expertise and international resources, now accepts applicant for the position of Mechanical Engineer /Specialist through Industry r&D Associates program, Alberta Ingenuity.

3 V7 g" A, {9 r8 T$ `4 Q•        Process research equipment design;
•        Pilot plant design with other professional engineers;
•        Equipment fabrication guidance;
5 x& d, w) O, o! L/ Z1 e, p+ h•        Mechanical Codes/Standard elucidation;
•        Others.

Qualifications:
3 X/ d8 U2 S  {. h- r% l1 q4 ?2 p•        Mechanical Engineering Graduate of a Master’s or PhD program within five years of application date OR graduate student expecting to complete Master’s or PhD degree requirements within three months.
: t8 w( j1 [: R  K# C•        Equipment design experience is required;
* \/ _( W; n% h" D, r4 ?" |•        Familiar with mechanical Codes/Standards; knowledge of electrical Codes/Standards is helpful;
6 {, N$ r: [/ Q7 n8 X; C•        Familiar with CAD software;
•        Fluent in English, and knowledge of Mandarin is useful;
9 u' F2 V+ t" e! q•        Fabrication, engineering and postdoctoral experience are assets.

Compensation:
8 ~' k8 R( J( x/ o$ x" i: U; nSuccessful applicant of Alberta Ingenuity Industry r&D Associates will be awarded a $55,000 stipend per annum and a yearly allowance of $7,000. The total award value over two years is $124,000 from Alberta Ingenuity with opportunity for permanent position and stock option from the company after two years’ term.
