• Process research equipment design;+ f3 c' m& P2 O( J1 Y! Y! w9 S
• Pilot plant design with other professional engineers;! i0 f; B1 T% L( X
• Equipment fabrication guidance;
+ q( D; c9 t: m• Mechanical Codes/Standard elucidation;
9 A( X0 g% b' I) W• Others.

Qualifications:) b/ l- H! L/ l9 j+ L
• Mechanical Engineering Graduate of a Master’s or PhD program within five years of application date OR graduate student expecting to complete Master’s or PhD degree requirements within three months. 6 d9 w j- N$ @0 Q" h% a
• Equipment design experience is required;. z5 [' o/ V: J3 |+ E6 i
• Familiar with mechanical Codes/Standards; knowledge of electrical Codes/Standards is helpful;5 k( f" D7 Q1 M* a
• Familiar with CAD software;: M) D' d5 s3 ]4 }% |
• Fluent in English, and knowledge of Mandarin is useful;
5 l2 o2 N! T0 M: I. ~, C# F( @+ m• Fabrication, engineering and postdoctoral experience are assets.$ u3 f! b6 e8 b( U2 W

Compensation:+ ?& _# v3 Z; P$ p- G1 z$ `9 N# e
Successful applicant of Alberta Ingenuity Industry r&D Associates will be awarded a $55,000 stipend per annum and a yearly allowance of $7,000. The total award value over two years is $124,000 from Alberta Ingenuity with opportunity for permanent position and stock option from the company after two years’ term.
