 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
& p5 [2 p- }) ]2 ~0 K" A& J Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
 Completing required paperwork.
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
  B3 A* i* E) y: u Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
9 x; T4 }" r$ ]* e# L1 V+ [# y- n. H9 p Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
$ Y) T& R0 Q% U Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
8 f6 N4 l7 ]# y! E. N. g& x& M Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

" o9 c8 j% ~, z4 g Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
' O2 k4 l5 J0 q6 N Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
5 a0 e2 Q4 Z) _; |1 w5 a Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
$ I/ S- R; q- T$ U Knowledge of community resources.
# |: a$ _5 y* t; W% L Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

Position:
This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
