  N9 v2 K0 Z* t% r1 s Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
& Y" I6 w$ y, ]( J) ^" D! a- ~# x Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
8 W. G: ?- {$ z Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
 Completing required paperwork.
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
2 O) d+ v$ }$ U" l Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
% v4 r) D/ `! T* l( _ Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
& i  a3 @2 J* G; x+ C9 K2 F1 C1 k Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
  `7 k7 I. N6 ? Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.

Qualifications:

 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
; b; j, v* y  S9 |6 M Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
0 f* V+ B& L5 p& g9 D, G Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
  e% N, _: }; f9 N* y Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
1 z( p. \- l1 A  Y' B Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
1 G3 m7 n3 t: p) f1 M  [- U1 W Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

6 C, j; X9 I+ ]9 K  t, SThis is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
