" F! q; S0 ~* e Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
9 L) q4 s8 e6 X5 H/ P6 V$ _ Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
 Completing required paperwork.
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
% Z" T" F! q3 C: B) T" |# G2 [ Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
* ~7 T3 t& y) c+ v2 t4 W; _7 b% b Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

* q- o8 \; F* J( x+ j  M8 l" p( M
 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
( ~! Q6 o2 P" @' _9 t- e Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
6 p& [4 ?  p1 E Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

Position:
0 O5 z! @( d$ _0 |3 s- G) rThis is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
8 A% t. v/ _  D; ystarting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
