 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.

, p, ?" \3 r2 x Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
5 `) N3 X" Q  E& ~2 _8 ^7 x7 y4 U Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
7 n% R4 n8 r6 V  f Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
8 L5 [( x+ `8 K+ a1 i Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
& {6 W. A$ G% @! ^0 f; s" r( e$ Q9 F Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

Qualifications:
/ S  Z: W+ p4 P5 n
 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
, s- b) s+ t0 p& b  f Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
# o  Y1 F: C# x" K, x0 P Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
0 a9 u7 C8 ^. Y" A' o Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

- c, g$ ^% y  B$ P$ pThis is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
/ X' ^. c1 r. g. ystarting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
