 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
& p5 [2 p- }) ]2 ~0 K" A& J Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.3 K4 M+ m7 o+ d3 D, y
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.9 a2 G5 ]/ n. ?# n4 M& f
 Completing required paperwork. k' z5 G3 l; Y5 k: y o! S. Q
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
B3 A* i* E) y: u Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.

 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.

" o9 c8 j% ~, z4 g Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
' O2 k4 l5 J0 q6 N Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.% Q# m2 t0 l V" U8 Q( S( _/ q
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
5 a0 e2 Q4 Z) _; |1 w5 a Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
$ I/ S- R; q- T$ U Knowledge of community resources.
# |: a$ _5 y* t; W% L Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.$ I) v# K+ i2 i0 s& y( P# ^
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training. 2 i) R, v* K! g

This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50; - K) Q$ y* u3 r/ x P }
starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
