Critically-injured child dies（重伤男孩不治身亡）

A 13-month-old Edmonton toddler died Saturday morning in a local hospital, two days after being admitted in critical condition. Homicide detectives charged a 44-year-old man with second-degree murder in the little boy’s death.

5 U- @: A' b+ Q! M9 Y' E1 fThe baby was brought to the hospital at 10 a.m. Thursday with serious injuries. Hospital staff alerted police and social services to his life-threatening condition.

The boy died shortly after 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.

: r( K+ H" X) B6 J: x$ dThe name of the accused and the victim can not be released due to a provision of the Child Youth Family Enhancement Act, which prevents release of any details identifying the child, their siblings or their guardians.
