SALES CLERKS
9 e$ e) O% X7 V5 ^Job Purpose
Every full or part time sales clerk is responsible for the proper and efficient
" D( C/ L4 ]0 Yoperation of his or her shift, within company policy in such a manner as to ensure
* E5 d- r: v- d' ?that the shift contributes to the increased profitability of the store while serving
customers with exceptional customer service. All sales clerks report directly to
the Store Manager.
7 V: [$ _' K! W2 D7 u! M+ P8 U' XDuties and Responsibilities
  w5 W9 E9 W/ R8 h; YCustomer Service
$ N2 |: K0 Y3 W/ x: `• Provide all customers with prompt and courteous service
+ ^8 F, v1 [! ?5 g# D• Assist customers find what they are looking for
• Receive and fill orders for clubs, restaurants, and hotels as required
• Make every effort to find merchandise for customers if an item is not in
stock
• Screen for intoxication and check identification for any customer who
looks under 25 years of age
Store Responsibilities
• Operate point of sale terminal to make sales and look up products
' z8 i, J1 }- n% q  b% D1 S• Stock shelves in accordance with company merchandising standards
  }7 K: w" x0 P7 ^5 O• Assist in receiving and storing merchandise
6 \% e, @, I& S• Keep the store, stockroom and restrooms clean
5 H. C5 O9 r( M1 u; _• Help monitor inventory levels – item counts at tills and hourly counts
• Protect company assets at all times

• High School graduate
3 e+ T! w" T" ~( {- B6 y: T2 l• Criminal record check.
• Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written
8 l6 b" N# B/ S: \4 o• Good problem solving skills
• Ability to adapt quickly and react positively to business needs and
changes in strategies
Working Conditions
+ t. D* U: Q, @" F9 _+ z• Fast paced environment
• Demanding workload
Physical Requirements
• Available for shift work Sunday – Saturdays, days and evenings
$ ^/ A3 L1 r1 U+ R: G1 Z% D• Able to safely lift boxes up to 50 pounds
• Standing for extended periods of time
7 _6 w$ O9 Z8 |- a5 G' d% L8 T• Comfortable climbing ladders
