MECHANICAL DESIGNER(HVAC)

Reporting to the Mechanical Engineer, the successful candidate is responsible for providing Mechanical (HVAC) Design guidance and support to the Design Team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
        Working with a team of draftspersons, designers and engineers, prepare drawings, specifications, and bill of materials for projects
. J' [% s2 G( Z/ U3 R' W' d        Review, develop and improve processes and procedures
        Research and develop efforts to improve product designs and costs
        Make sure all information is included on drawings, specifications and drawings requested by the manufacturing group and clients

QUALIFICATIONS:
•        Graduate of a technical institute or mechanical trade journeyman
% c0 g* |4 R& k: X•        Minimum 2 years experience in design/drafting of HVAC systems for    residential or commercial buildings
•        Minimum 5 years experience working as a HVAC journeyman
% L: h! k: ]: A8 C•        Experience in HVAC systems commissioning and air balancing is an asset
•        Understanding of the Bill of Material generation process
; Z: ?! V3 k; U•        Understanding of drafting and design specifications for projects
/ j6 }0 {" G7 Q3 n  X& n2 _! e; e•        Competence with utilizing AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
•        Ability to communicate with all levels of management
•        Ability to work independently as well as in a team
