Recruit Participants

8 `7 k$ z" s5 M7 m  n( Y" L  b-        facilitate recruitment of participants for the Keshotu Leadership Academy
4 W8 m# C$ [1 P9 _-        conduct interviews to ensure participants have necessary qualities
, ^. @9 S, Y8 t0 G! q' i
& K1 R  c$ D; r0 o/ dOrganize Leadership Training Sessions
-        locate an appropriate venue for weekly meetings
-        set up a plan for the span of the project (Jan 08 – Dec 08) for weekly meetings
- H( J  o$ P, v  x1 u% K: B4 h-        use project proposal to ensure time is spent with all identified areas

Plan and Facilitate identified public events
4 ?  v- K% X8 o-        with youth participants

. c" t  N/ Z2 w# y- p5 Z2 @6 n-        work with media consultant to ensure good coverage of project

, R" E- S9 N  E5 K0 W-        attend meetings relevant to organizational mandate
-        create and maintain relationships with community groups, individuals, institutions that are interested in race relations

-        Be informed on current issues on race relations and other areas relevant to the position.

Proposal Creation
-        With program manager, create proposals to continue funding of this project.
( h5 T& T6 R6 u: J( T; [-        Also with program manager, create a logic model for each project with activities; short, medium, and long term outcomes; and indicators

Reports to Funders and Program Manager
# W  s  I6 O$ d/ O$ H4 U( f6 y4 d- F-        submit quarterly reports to program manager and timely reports according to requirements of each funder

Project Evaluation
1 e/ I& u8 E4 K$ D3 d9 ]-        work with external evaluation consultant to collect appropriate data for evaluation
-        include in all interim and final reports, outcome measures using indicators from logic model

Qualifications for this Position

5 p2 w( g; Z0 r7 Q( d2 ]-        excellent knowledge of the issue of racism in Canadian society
-        demonstrated leadership abilities with youth
-        experience with project coordination
7 b. l5 W6 N7 g  ]' e4 I6 r0 c-        degree or diploma in human services field
" {( T7 r) H% e7 c, }-        developed knowledge and skills in one or more performing arts
