; L4 H1 A3 ]$ D0 Hthe YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by

/ w7 N- t5 b# L( @& g• Reporting to the board on a timely basis all relevant information regarding operations
0 e) W" V) Y3 n; k5 j" m4 w" Qincluding financial, policy and personnel issues and provides information necessary to

• Contributing to the development and achievement of the 1 -3 year operational plan and 9 X* Q0 D" |/ H) T2 |6 Z7 E
objectives ensuring that the plan is consistent with the strategic directions established by ' f$ h$ u/ b& w3 Z7 c
the board;
( x# H! H j7 Z R• Developing and executing the annual operational and capital budget; ' N3 O- g+ r% C( `& M
• Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations to champion 9 z4 z1 q/ g% y7 }+ J
the development, implementation and successful execution of YWCA service offerings;
1 A& b4 U1 u1 M• Reviewing existing policies and programs to recommend new or revise to meet the ; _( \* t4 x- ^1 B1 B
changing needs of the organization and community; 4 j1 H3 U; z3 A2 E2 u# B# ^4 j
• Identifying, qualifying and initiating opportunities to meet the current and growth revenue 1 V& g H' c3 f

• Overseeing contract negotiation with various stakeholders; 9 o+ l/ J+ ]6 v4 r [ s6 J# a6 V3 D o
• Fostering an environment of fair treatment of employees and volunteers through effective
# {) B5 Y% K5 N b" Mselection, development, motivation, retention and appraisal systems; # W* U2 H/ X: O4 m; }% O& P
• Encouraging the development of high-performance team members motivated to succeed;
" c8 H& e( \+ W• Enhancing the public imagine and working relationship within our community to
4 d5 E# P0 J/ I/ K8 T2 Xeffectively and positively represent the association; " O/ N: A L' C& P
2 k- ^7 L, o. U• Identifying the YWCA’s principle risks, reviewing those risks with the Board, and ensuring 4 g1 B# D5 N" _6 o; B1 u8 G
the implementation of systems to manage these risks;
( `0 Y6 U" E. S% O* F• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal 7 `2 t: o' S8 l7 M
performance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED 7 h" n% F4 O# |3 G, B" q
the forthcoming year; 8 C9 U3 d+ }! t! s* u9 @* n
• Conducting affairs of the YWCA in accordance with the commonly accepted ethical
" l; i' u' X6 }+ K2 \ fpractices, consistent with the YWCA Vision, Mission and Values and the policies of ' x, F3 b1 L& X5 e9 q
YWCA Canada; and

Required Professional Designation / Certification
4 ~3 N: F1 S/ x1 Y1 j& n7 O• Post secondary degree or equivalent experience.

Required Experience
3 Z; j9 ^7 F; I% c• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations;
- ?2 O0 }- Q! w6 B( `# p• Strong knowledge of government contracts and demonstrated negotiation

• Exceptional interpersonal skills including knowledge of Public Relations, 5 r" h- t% o* W+ v+ D
Networking and Fundraising;
