The successful Executive Director (ED) will combine a woman centered perspective, strategic

this multi-service agency. With over 200 staff and an operating budget of $8 million, YWCA

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the ED is responsible for development, evolution and
# \9 _4 s' F- e1 u( L7 }) _execution of the YWCA Strategy : r& ]( @( S, Q V; v' }" k( }! g
+ F+ G5 A' k/ O- i2 J2 h0 nSpecific responsibilities include: $ g& }: P( U" D, @: f
e, S+ ]& e4 j2 Y2 v& w• Providing leadership, general supervision, management and control of the operations of ; r( V8 d/ C# f3 I2 ~
the YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by $ @5 a5 A7 t5 i# \

• Reporting to the board on a timely basis all relevant information regarding operations / _. f6 F: G1 E& _
including financial, policy and personnel issues and provides information necessary to

• Contributing to the development and achievement of the 1 -3 year operational plan and
3 x, k# _ M3 \4 Eobjectives ensuring that the plan is consistent with the strategic directions established by

the development, implementation and successful execution of YWCA service offerings;

changing needs of the organization and community;

selection, development, motivation, retention and appraisal systems;

• Enhancing the public imagine and working relationship within our community to + {7 N' q" Z- i* v
effectively and positively represent the association;

• Identifying the YWCA’s principle risks, reviewing those risks with the Board, and ensuring
8 T) n B" C' d( e2 N2 q: }) fthe implementation of systems to manage these risks;
) o* Z5 s1 Q. j• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal
6 `& b, q* {) R" yperformance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED
0 R# D5 G* t$ `. z9 mthe forthcoming year;
$ J7 c# i# `- E$ W: j• Conducting affairs of the YWCA in accordance with the commonly accepted ethical - r& h& M( T, K' a

Required Professional Designation / Certification

Required Experience
0 A0 _2 c/ }) _2 d# A• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations; 6 M3 O e$ q3 ^! Y
• Strong knowledge of government contracts and demonstrated negotiation
