The IT Small Systems Specialist will be responsible for providing day to day technical support for SYSCO Edmonton. Responsibilities will include equipment management and support, basic network support and troubleshooting.! i$ d* ]" ^' E; n6 y, M

§ Provide small systems technical support; troubleshoot problems and either resolve them independently or coordinate third party involvement in resolution
% k _6 v& ?' w. s+ w§ Hardware and software installation, configuration and implementation @7 e8 G: v" ]9 }
§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times

§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert

Qualifications:4 k/ O& D% a' }2 t0 _& O4 b, K2 a. h
§ University or College degree in Computer Science and at least 2 years of related work experience5 j, E0 n9 {/ l6 `' t5 P
§ Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with others and work under minimal supervision

§ Proven knowledge of Dell, IBM, Xerox and Lexmark hardware

Position Summary:
: \6 s% N* R1 X5 o# SThe IT Manager will provide hands on management of all aspects of the local IT operations for SYSCO Edmonton - managing the information systems on a cost effective basis while ensuring user demands are met. This person will work closely with the SYSCO Canada Corporate IT group (located in Calgary and Toronto).

§ Manage a stable local IT environment

§ Reporting to the Director of Finance and management on a monthly basis on status of IT projects and initiatives' X& ?7 p; r8 w% \ U
§ Work with auditors (internal and external) – respond to requests, prepare response to audit reports
" ~4 f$ y/ |% T& Y* \, {5 y§ Hardware and software configuration and implementation: P3 B2 I7 p$ ]8 y; Z5 a; p5 O
§ Manage and track all technology assets including ensuring that all software licenses are documented and adhered to
" ~" D# v! ^' I- T6 `§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times
' |+ c2 e8 l( s§ Perform network administration at the domain level; managing user accounts and network access

§ Develop and track IT budget as well as IT capital spending plan( G: `1 \' i2 e @
§ Liaise with Corporate IT Helpdesk

§ Implementation and support of small systems technology initiatives in conjunction with SYSCO Canada IT
