The IT Small Systems Specialist will be responsible for providing day to day technical support for SYSCO Edmonton. Responsibilities will include equipment management and support, basic network support and troubleshooting.3 _- L7 f- J' `4 u

2 o( t' Z; [- j% M§ Provide high level of customer service to internal customers
1 A2 |, ^& |7 u& [9 g  h6 W§ Provide small systems technical support; troubleshoot problems and either resolve them independently or coordinate third party involvement in resolution ( h6 I" ~! b/ I; Q' X! J% M( C
§ Hardware and software installation, configuration and implementation
) p! Y$ s& x% _8 V) [8 C6 M§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times
# l' [6 q2 i0 `( o, g§ Liaise with Corporate IT Helpdesk1 ~. x* V0 E# }# B; u
§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert
$ s2 H8 `  x( j. f3 @( h' L) _§ Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external parties
+ e+ E  D* I# p§ Special projects as required% w+ e, X' h: {4 r% ]& r
§ May be required to provide after hours pager support for emergency trouble calls( m# o* t2 p' ^& N/ S6 ]% j3 ?0 g

Qualifications:
0 M6 c/ o% |  u" J- U; r§ University or College degree in Computer Science and at least 2 years of related work experience9 l" S4 U$ H! F. ?7 _8 t
§ Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with others and work under minimal supervision5 Z' c4 V: k& }. D* Z4 A
§ Fundamental commitment to customer service
: a3 H- l9 q7 g; {§ Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills and the ability to work on multiple issues
9 _- X, p. C9 U5 y% Y§ Proven knowledge of Dell, IBM, Xerox and Lexmark hardware; P2 Y" T6 Q+ o2 I3 D
§ Experience installing, supporting and troubleshooting client desktop software
) T  v& s4 Q& q$ M§ Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, install and support computer users with Windows 98/NT/2000/XP in a domain environment, Ethernet, TCP/IP, routers, switches, concentrators, Network Management tools (e.g. virus protection, server monitoring) and with Xerox and /or Lexmark printer problems

The IT Manager will provide hands on management of all aspects of the local IT operations for SYSCO Edmonton - managing the information systems on a cost effective basis while ensuring user demands are met. This person will work closely with the SYSCO Canada Corporate IT group (located in Calgary and Toronto). 6 k" R* [: B* Y  w/ e

Responsibilities:
+ l6 }$ x# g! j0 C% A" q: D, m§ Manage a stable local IT environment % V1 x. g7 P, u( t. T: q5 z
§ Manage and coach staff in IT group
  |9 z" @/ [' {7 P! \§ Oversee and provide small systems technical support  v  t8 U% V9 M' E- P0 m5 Q0 U" S' I
§ Reporting to the Director of Finance and management on a monthly basis on status of IT projects and initiatives' w; I' Y( k4 h( J4 V
§ Work with auditors (internal and external) – respond to requests, prepare response to audit reports
3 S: O) x! R, Y' W# \$ P! o8 P§ Hardware and software configuration and implementation3 B6 E7 h% l3 z% m
§ Manage and track all technology assets including ensuring that all software licenses are documented and adhered to
6 ]/ Y8 y% Y- \9 d1 u§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times' E+ d4 s- p3 e3 G
§ Perform network administration at the domain level; managing user accounts and network access
4 O3 z5 P0 S7 O1 u! N% Z3 @$ E§ Develop and maintain backup and restoration procedures
1 u- s/ L4 y4 E  e! t; c- [§ Develop and track IT budget as well as IT capital spending plan
1 L' k% ^' S6 J# {( V# @§ Liaise with Corporate IT Helpdesk9 y' L' y) m* k$ B
§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert6 o3 [  l" ?# @9 F& S4 Z2 P
§ Provide technical and procedural recommendations to management
1 `7 b/ M. h7 i/ n% F# U4 M§ Manage user ID request and approval process in conjunction with Director of Finance
9 {( g1 o  I  I* A§ Implementation and support of small systems technology initiatives in conjunction with SYSCO Canada IT
5 f! ?+ q. ]9 m$ c' d§ Coordinate and support end user training
  m; ^$ A7 v" B1 F0 J( j§ Develop and maintain good working relationships with IT related suppliers and service providers
" t. e* ^* M$ `, i' L$ Z/ B§ Collaboration on development of internal intranet and external website maintenance) X, \4 S0 t  z1 t1 l! G" y( r
§ Manage all printers in the building- J+ y# y% p; S

呵呵,不是manager 就是administration.

在国内应征的话还敢。在这里既没加拿大经验,英语也不好,想都不去想这些位置啊。
