      Children’s Summer Program Coordinator, 2010

( I( R; ]! u  L0 a6 C-        Organize, plan, and facilitate the Children’s Summer Program (ages 6 to 15)
-        Recruit children for summer programs
-        Recruit and train volunteers for summer programs
0 G& H1 y, I+ C+ J4 Y5 d9 e, E-        Budgeting and record keeping
-        Provide orientation for parents
-        Prepare final end of summer report for funding agency
, a. X1 S0 |) a4 N0 M-        Act according to the guidance or direction of the Senior Program Manager

Qualifications:
-        Post secondary student in Education, Physical Education and Recreation, Early Childhood Development, or equivalent of experience and education
$ n+ m' P; Q$ s. j9 k7 \-        Should have direct experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children
-        Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills
-        Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
9 x% B; R- A. N! p! [# P: K/ \-        Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese
-        Demonstrate strong leadership abilities
-        Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
-        Returning student to post-secondary institution in Fall 2010
-        Have current first aid certificate
-        Successful applicants must undergo security and child welfare check at own expense

-        Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 4:00pm (30 hours/week) in May and June (planning) and 8:30am to 4:30pm (40 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)
