March 7th: the University of Alberta Museums’ annual Science Sunday for kids!

On Sunday, March 7, 2010, from 12:00pm to 4:00pm, the University of Alberta Museums present the annual Science Sunday, an afternoon of discovery for kids aged 5 to 12.

4 Z3 v! Q9 ^+ lBring your children, grandchildren, or young friends to explore the natural sciences through a wide range of hands-on activities, including:

learning about animal noises with John Acorn, the Nature Nut
- v. Z8 j2 L9 N9 T# Bdigging for and examining fossils % W* x1 |# Q3 E: x7 h
exploring the impact of meteorites on the surface of the earth ) Y4 d* [6 P; e
investigating insects

“Junior researchers” can drop in any time during the afternoon with an adult chaperone to participate. Pre-registration is not required. Admission is by donation.8 p; k2 ~) m3 B! T

Science Sunday is located in the Earth Sciences Building on the U of A Campus, just off of Saskatchewan Drive. Pay parking is available in Lot N on 111th Street.- J! W7 Z, w! J8 Z$ C
