CALGARY - A fire has halted operations at one of Suncor Energy's two oilsands upgraders north of Fort McMurray, the company said Tuesday.

0 h; @: h) Z7 EThe energy giant said the 125,000-barrel-per-day unit was shut down after the fire, and it is currently assessing damage.

1 d! e7 p2 d6 XSuncor has been plagued by a series fires at its oilsands operations in the past five months, suffering three fires since October in the upgraders which convert bitumen into synthetic crude oil.
