CALGARY - A fire has halted operations at one of Suncor Energy's two oilsands upgraders north of Fort McMurray, the company said Tuesday.

9 R/ [- }0 k2 X/ r- |7 CThe energy giant said the 125,000-barrel-per-day unit was shut down after the fire, and it is currently assessing damage. B2 D7 j# C$ z

Suncor has been plagued by a series fires at its oilsands operations in the past five months, suffering three fires since October in the upgraders which convert bitumen into synthetic crude oil.
