Compensation: Based on experience & qualifications.

Responsibilities:
4 ^# u/ E  H# E. ?5 J- s9 j& z-        Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth
-        Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling
8 e' e& h% J8 `-        Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups
$ P0 ?' q# E! ~0 s8 H2 O4 \$ {-        Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs
-        Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health

( _# X5 ^; {# r' k4 D5 H4 WKey Qualifications:
-        Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences
, o8 y5 X! T2 p6 l. P+ u2 J+ e-        At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement
-        Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others
: A2 X2 R. H4 T+ B-        Experience doing program development
-        Strong organizational and coordination skills
( ~1 ~- ]8 p6 K, E2 h-        Self-directed and able to take initiative
-        Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset
-        Vehicle and valid drivers’ license

& w/ V' t7 d4 G/ v  s-        Experience conducting community needs assessments and program evaluation
-        Knowledge of and experience working with immigrant and refugee communities
-        An understanding of the relationship between addictions and mental health
-        Skills in marketing & promotions
-        Some evening and weekend work may be required
