Responsibilities:
' t/ ^7 r5 Q% R4 x6 |- Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth" z; u# y3 g$ O: F
- Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling* p6 B' _4 \7 y3 X) N
- Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups/ N N+ [$ y! O1 i8 g" R* P
- Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs0 e, q$ D5 R; m" \; _+ y( D1 B& V
- Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health

Key Qualifications:. ?1 G/ U0 R5 {4 n, N- P! u; Z# ^
- Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences0 ?3 P8 c( ?7 G- @1 z( H7 S
- At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement
3 s! e" m6 \; |0 Q- Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others
; M& ?/ ?1 O+ X- Experience doing program development) d1 n; d" ]7 K* {
- Strong organizational and coordination skills$ B# g9 z( U8 ?- g' W0 ]0 r8 T% W& u
- Self-directed and able to take initiative% J' ?5 g# w6 v) Q K% q
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset$ O; }- |+ `1 R/ M. l9 f, u7 p
- Vehicle and valid drivers’ license

- Experience conducting community needs assessments and program evaluation o K7 g' E) p8 x! j* M/ \7 x s
- Knowledge of and experience working with immigrant and refugee communities( P9 w+ t E$ ~/ m. D( b8 a
- An understanding of the relationship between addictions and mental health3 T9 \5 d h7 d' K. x0 B
- Skills in marketing & promotions
