Position: Project Coordinator, Smart Choices.

Responsibilities:4 k1 }; P D" Z4 d( G
- Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth
4 M# ~" a* G; X+ ~- C! R/ S- Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling- e' ], ^6 G' N7 H; ^- I g4 n
- Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups
( _& O+ H A9 u, f9 @1 M- Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs4 S" L, Q# }. J5 T# j: I
- Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health
# G6 f: N! u5 t4 h0 @6 P, D- A# e' x

Key Qualifications:
, y) l; E8 Z8 \1 h& L: @6 S3 M6 l- Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences
4 G9 x$ n1 W8 x x' Y- At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement
$ k7 B8 w' o$ u6 M. U- Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others
) W' J. C" m) [1 {4 ~- Experience doing program development x& J( ^3 F/ }- V" C2 M
- Strong organizational and coordination skills
4 d8 P* F* U' l- Self-directed and able to take initiative- m2 w" t5 q5 f4 f8 w# N: j# ~9 x+ u
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset, ~3 \; ^, [( ^& J5 P9 [ e: s& R
- Vehicle and valid drivers’ license

- Skills in marketing & promotions
