Position: Project Coordinator, Smart Choices.
Terms: Full-time (35 hours per week).
Compensation: Based on experience & qualifications.

4 @) k1 D3 s6 E: \( r-        Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth
-        Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling
, O3 t/ S- {# `0 k# o2 O. K% J6 V1 Q-        Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups
, }/ i/ A/ j; Z  Z# Q& B6 |-        Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs
-        Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health

8 M5 {. u/ j8 p" hKey Qualifications:
-        Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences
% W) a: t: v  B2 @; H7 b& O-        At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement
-        Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others
-        Experience doing program development
+ b. j8 E2 k6 G% a: B/ w$ H-        Strong organizational and coordination skills
' p, T9 G5 W! m0 u2 D% R* G-        Self-directed and able to take initiative
" I9 l* K. f3 W$ W) J7 u+ X8 a-        Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset
* Z( L, y" A! k7 J0 O$ K/ h-        Vehicle and valid drivers’ license

: a( F( ^) M/ }Assets:
* S- V7 j0 d: H2 n-        Experience conducting community needs assessments and program evaluation
-        Knowledge of and experience working with immigrant and refugee communities

-        Skills in marketing & promotions
-        Some evening and weekend work may be required
