FUNCTIONS:

The Materials Management Section of the Edmonton Police Service (EPS) is seeking a Purchasing Clerk to perform administrative duties and assist with the procurement of goods and services through various vendors.  Responsibilities include:

·         Providing purchasing and invoicing services, including creating, placing, expediting purchase orders and processing them for payment using SAP.( \# ~1 K* U6 |9 h7 U" o8 p

·         Reconciling monthly purchases on Corporate Procurement Cards." o; |8 I3 I( t6 Q/ x( |+ H

·         Coordinating the purchase and issue of service recognition items, member name tags, and business cards.9 G3 X. m/ M* w1 [- J: @

! ^5 E% z+ E+ U+ L4 T# J# I·         Performing general office duties, such as answering telephones, filing, preparing and distributing agendas, mail services, handling customer inquiries and complaints, and coordinating the Manager’s meeting and schedule.

·         Assisting with the salvage and reuse of surplus used furniture.

/ S+ |$ D9 \: A, e8 w! }: X·         Completion of the twelfth (12th) school grade including business subjects related to word and information processing or completion of an appropriate certificate program from an approved business school/college, supplemented by training in microcomputer applications.

·         Two years diversified word and information processing experience.

·         Able to meet the physical demands of the position, including some lifting, bending, and carrying material.

21M, Salary Grade: 006, $1,053.13 - $1,307.68 (Bi-Weekly), $27,486.82 - $34,130.38 (Annually). The rates quoted are in accordance with a collective agreement between the Union and the City of Edmonton.
