全加华人联会第十七届年会暨埃城分会成立典礼在埃德蒙顿举行

2009年11月14/15日，全加华人联会第十七届年会（NCCC, National Congress of Chinese Canadians）暨埃城分会成立典礼在本屯举行。

埃德蒙顿City Centre选区国会议员Lauie Hawn、埃德蒙顿市长Stephen Mandel代表联邦、市政府前来参会。省督Norman Kwong致贺信问候。

中国驻卡尔加里总领事吴新建也到会表示祝贺，并致欢迎辞。

小记

今天发现，市长Mandel真是个可爱的老头～当主持人介绍吴新建总领事的时候，说的是Mr. Wu Xinjian, Consul General from Calgary...市长说，其实Consul General Wu is not from Calgary, he is the Consul General from China and he just works in Calgary... Because  I don't think they are paying operation tax to Calgary Municipal office...

- a6 X& p8 Z  Y6 G% Z9 W7 R4 T3 s1 n而吴新建总领事也很急智，他说: As Mayor Mandel said, I am not the Consul General from Calgary, I am just working for Chinese Consulate General in Calgary for Alberta, Saskatchewan and Northwest Territories...
