2 P0 l: t' f, J7 R$ H The Field Operator is responsible for monitoring production in field locations surrounding the Balzac Gas Plant facility (10 minutes north of the Calgary city limits; 30 km from the downtown core). This position works a 35 day shift rotation, which includes 12 hour days/nights and 9 hour training days. This role is bound by the terms of the Collective Agreement (Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Local 773).
Job Duties/Responsibilities  
! x# x/ V: M0 Y3 Q- i6 Q4 D) A -  Display competency with operations procedures checklists and critical procedures;
0 {" f: I9 S( `1 S+ \-  Provide day to day control of producing wells, pipelines and associated production equipment;
* w, |; v3 x$ o6 }, O-  Make and carry out recommendations to maximize production, minimize operating costs and eliminate downtime;
, n3 J: T7 s, U3 s$ H-  Ensure all field related activities are completed safely, on schedule and in an environmentally safe and cost effective manner;
; F' D1 `1 Z" G  i7 u-  Comply with all EH&S, Corporate and Regulatory rules and procedures. Report any unacceptable conditions and incidents;
, K; U0 Y7 ~" _' T-  Work in a team-oriented atmosphere and contribute to the ongoing success of the Balzac Complex;

Education/Experience  
- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent in training and experience;
, h; c; h  B# X) j- Q% u-  Minimum of 3 years' related experience operating sour gas wells, pipelines and compressors;
-  Current H2S Alive certification or equivalent;
4 ~2 U1 C% a% Q1 b7 n6 k0 w-  Dependable, organized and self motivated;
-  Strong initiative and problem solving skills;
