THE EDMONTON REGION IMMIGRANT COUNCIL WOULD LIKE TO INVITE YOU TO PARTICIPATE IN THE 24/4 MENTORSHIP PILOT PROGRAM:
24 HOURS OVER 4 MONTHS
This fall, the Edmonton Region Immigrant Employment Council (ERIEC) will be launching a mentorship pilot program, where we aim to match skilled immigrants with mentors in their occupations.

7 \! m, E2 p# l2 bAll potential mentee candidates are required to meet the following criteria:
( k& C  V. K  ]9 m- m•An internationally educated professional living in Canada for three years or less
1 ^- i- d7 U  W  _' R  i8 u, s•Have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent post secondary education
•Have Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 7 or higher in oral English
8 T7 G0 Z- h- H  q  Z3 \+ q•At least three years work experience in their area of expertise outside of Canada
7 q3 o6 V* o& ]% O0 S/ Y) o•No prior Canadian work experience in their field
•Be unemployed or underemployed – working for 20 hours a week or less
•Be eligible to work in Canada
•Have a job ready resume and have completed a job search workshop
•Lack access to professional networks
•Be motivated to participate and be open to learning

The maximum number of hours involved in the ERIEC mentorship program is 6 hours a month for a total of 24 hours over 4 months.  This works out to approximately one and a half hours per week.
