; s- p8 {+ |8 r- x1 fTHE EDMONTON REGION IMMIGRANT COUNCIL WOULD LIKE TO INVITE YOU TO PARTICIPATE IN THE 24/4 MENTORSHIP PILOT PROGRAM:
24 HOURS OVER 4 MONTHS
6 D' r# B7 g3 l" B7 {. @This fall, the Edmonton Region Immigrant Employment Council (ERIEC) will be launching a mentorship pilot program, where we aim to match skilled immigrants with mentors in their occupations.
- u9 {0 c, |4 g0 V2 |& O# zEligibility Criteria
All potential mentee candidates are required to meet the following criteria:
. c- y* e9 V$ r•An internationally educated professional living in Canada for three years or less
•Have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent post secondary education
% H: X2 X* M. T, a: W; K- x- s•Have Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 7 or higher in oral English
•At least three years work experience in their area of expertise outside of Canada
; @1 E; L# U  X  X" C- ?•No prior Canadian work experience in their field
•Be unemployed or underemployed – working for 20 hours a week or less
•Be eligible to work in Canada
•Have a job ready resume and have completed a job search workshop

•Be motivated to participate and be open to learning
Time Commitment
" N1 {0 j8 g6 J- @# uThe maximum number of hours involved in the ERIEC mentorship program is 6 hours a month for a total of 24 hours over 4 months.  This works out to approximately one and a half hours per week.
