Police Service Preparation Program

* L+ I# {& S7 T- |- B3 \) q/ DThis program is for immigrants and members of visible minorities who have an interest in a career in law enforcement.

Start date: November 2, 2009 End date: March 31, 2010.
Programs run from Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:00pm
Location: Edmonton Mennonite Centre for Newcomers, 8914 118 Avenue

You must be/have:
• Alberta High School Diploma (or equivalent)
7 n3 _% u  L! J! w• Unemployed or underemployed
6 E" N" ]; \; V. W• Minimum 18 years of age
• Good moral character
  h, }' u8 I! l" f* i• Good health and physical condition
% L7 R9 Z& D4 v- n, {• Good written and verbal communication skills – must be at a CLB 6+
8 I& w) W4 K& ]$ v! c8 G• Must possess a valid class 5 driver’s license
# k' c% N1 M6 [8 {; N+ z• No criminal convictions for which a pardon has not been granted
7 t/ I3 z) U: N. o• Eligible for financial assistance, or willing to pay tuition
