CHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. • Maintain an organized filing system for office records, meeting minutes, government registrations and donor records; Process annual government and charitable registrations forms." q8 ?- |+ Z# N6 J( O

• Order and organize office supplies; Manage and maintain office systems and environment including policy and procedures manual and office operations manual.0 E* G/ R4 a1 a# Z

• Support effective internal communication by recording and distributing all meeting minutes.! {; F7 _6 j$ {- _7 m8 X

• Identify and maintain a current media list and database. File all media articles and press coverage of CFCA.

• Manage database and support distribution of print publications.

• Weekly out-of-office errands as required (get cheques signed by Board members, drop off grant applications, and pick up office supplies). These errands will require personal transport.& E7 f1 V6 \& z! o- j, T

• Provide logistical support for key fundraising events such as silent auctions6 n; G. |* ] e. I5 z

• In conjunction with the Funds Development Program Manager, maintain donor database and ensure delivery of timely charitable receipts.# j+ j& W, @& y# l* D
, I& h* T' C) x+ D7 q% x/ l• Coordinate volunteers for some fundraising events such as Casino and annual sales events./ V( N8 \! G* p8 k. Y% n( z# K

• Assist in administrative tasks related to donor recognition and event reconciliation as required.% _' n" v1 j: a |
" @" }+ y6 a5 S* W& \! M& ISkills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development.
