Job Duties / Responsibilities
* U9 L. d0 |3 e) @3 z" p# l$ w% e+ Q• Supports company environmental, health, safety, security practices and policies.
• Is compliant with Nexen corporate policies on integrity, ethics and drug / alcohol.
• Ensures that health and safety standards are achieved and maintained by the warehouse team.
' h6 E& o9 u" R6 X• Is participating member of the Material Management/Warehouse Team that receives an
8 k& z6 Q' K5 U$ ~8 ddistributes material and tools in a timely and cost-effective manner.
• Ensures that the right goods, in right quantities, in the right condition, are delivered to the right
place (person), at the right time, for the right cost.
• Preserves materials.
• Reports to the warehouse supervisor who is responsible for the to day operating activities within the warehouse.
• Participates in special projects and continues improvement initiatives.
" f& d" T7 }( _9 t' ~• Receipts of goods to ensure quality and correctness In vendor shipments.
• Complete all shipping and receiving records for incoming and outgoing consignments of goods including T.D.G.
0 W) _3 X: {" p( w7 t( ?• Ensures materials are inspected and received into inventory, issues materials on an ad hoc basis to end users.
8 C/ C5 m  E5 ?0 S• Hands out material and ensure quality and correctness of goods.
• Maintains accurate inventory records to optimize material inventory.
• Manages bar code labeling process and ensures all materials received are issued a bar code label.
# U* d% o+ @( I1 A/ q: q• Conducts warehouse and yard activities to ensure that all materials received or issued have documentation and that this documentation properly processed within company SAP system.
6 q7 T: {7 m6 h' @* v, Z• Reports of shortages, damages and deficiencies in timely manner.
• Works together with other warehouse team members , planners, maintenance team, vendors and transportation companies to assure that materials at site meet timelines and schedules.
• Runs SAP reservation orders and picks and stages materials for pick-up by end user.
; C0 i+ `5 s) Y: P4 y) y) t8 ^• Provides SAP transactional support to end users as required.
• Arranges for SAP to Plant transfers as identified by the re-order report.
& h. Y! F9 H7 g5 w6 k- W: x5 `- G• Reconciles and resolves inventory transaction variances in SAP.
* r( E2 w0 p5 J• Forwards Material Master Description variances to Inventory Control coordinator in Calgary for
& D# C' o# l  G+ f7 S+ ?" L5 d  h, jresolution.
• Identifies material standardization opportunities and proposes changes with end user.
& y. E4 ?! h& g0 H9 }• Ensures documentation is completed for processing repair and return materials.
• Manages the issue and return of tools from the Tool Crib.
+ E& S' k& s, {- }" z" X% y' G• Inspects tools returned to Tool Crib, sends tools out for repair or initiates replacement for tools that are not in good working order.
6 z8 B2 l, x* j• Is familiar with MSDS standards for handling of hazardous products.
7 V) p& @5 N4 l/ |! |• Ensures all issue counter transactions are completed in a timely and accurate manner
• Establishes and maintain cooperative, respectful and effective relationships with those contacted in the course of work. (Various Site Team and Groups).
: K" F2 k0 w( `$ Y9 S% K• Acts as a first line of contact for expediting delivery of goods.
/ A( P+ ~/ s$ ]• Ensures that all items are stored safely, accurately and securely.
• Assists warehouse supervisor as required in review of MRP re-order reports for inventory replenishment
• Manages schedules, deadlines and accountabilities as assigned.
8 w- ?1 X8 u  @5 Z% H• Assists in inventory analysis process, in the performance of audits, cycle counting and stock checking of inventory.
1 R4 M6 j# `* [• Has ability to rotate within all Warehouse Positions as required. Provide support (training, practices and procedures) to the warehouse team members.
: Z# j+ h' R; e" b( r• Aids in the facilitation of process streamlining and implementation of effective material management solutions.
• Performs other Assignments or Project work as required.


Education / Experience
• Grade 12 / GED.
* D. r7 _- c3 E1 _8 a: ^. k• Must have working knowledge of SAP Material Management module, MS Word & Excel.
• Excellent Interpersonal communication skills, verbal and written.
4 d- [$ J% W! Z: r• Warehouseman¿s trades certification an asset.
• Oil and Gas material experience an asset.
/ Z& p3 W) X0 N+ y/ _0 d• MSDS, TDG, WHIMS training is required.
• 2-5 years warehousing and materials experience preferably in the Oil and Gas industry.
