Events and Volunteer Committees, this position will be responsible to:

7 N3 P6 h7 g- bPlan, implement and evaluate Special Events:
9 ?. k- g1 P! x/ f· Select and develop themes in collaboration with the Committee
; h( z8 |; p D8 L5 q/ h7 o· Oversee event logistics: book entertainment, catering services and venue; assist
& o9 G! \4 H5 z; pwith decorating; ensure tickets and invitations are available; assist with the
2 g. _- i/ \- cadvertising of events; recruit, place and supervise volunteers for events; ensure 8 s4 `% }4 f+ `; W' w: l
set-up and clean-up; monitor event budget and complete evaluation of events. 1 q ?' o& X4 l6 b! O9 Q9 D
· Attend and manage Special Events
& `6 v4 m5 f. W7 g* ^7 Z% P7 o· Attend and take minutes for Special Events Committee 3 [+ O/ l$ z7 r- I' U0 R2 O* Q
3 J/ t* E0 c# z- O/ x$ O; R( b. LDuties: Volunteer Coordination ; O) _# J' E9 W+ A. ~; y
Assist in developing and implementing a volunteer program:
8 U4 U3 Y, e2 i. ~· Develop job descriptions for volunteer positions
1 }' N8 P# W, w" G; g· Recruit, interview, screen and place prospective volunteers
5 G7 R7 G7 |, ^; O· Provide initial orientation and training for new volunteers ' |/ R t8 o0 z
· Ensure provision of recognition and evaluation of volunteers
A( q/ U- U: {* S5 }) o· Complete program administration, statistics and records
R0 ^- J+ }) U* Q + j/ ~+ t: ^0 O0 t* S
Qualifications: + e9 ]; I2 s9 N1 v
· Completion of 12th$ q: \+ ?; b0 i1 ?
Grade and a minimum of a Diploma in Recreation $ Y; S& @4 R, {8 H* L" x7 f* }! \; v
Administration, Volunteer Management or Special Event Planning or equivalent.
$ W* ]* i( c! v3 L% k· At least one year of experience in Recreation Administration and some direct 6 f6 i o9 H9 H* E* [
experience in conducting recreational, cultural or other related events 0 b7 S& l q l4 q8 F. x
· Experience working with and managing volunteers & ?7 A, \8 P' I5 i% F% _
· Specialized skills and training in working with seniors
) ?2 q$ c) B" t, @# N+ ?· Ability to instruct, organize and supervise group activities and special events 8 ?5 f5 G1 v {3 |1 ]/ n* X* ?
· Current Standard First Aid, CPR & AED training

Wages: $16 - $20/hour depending on qualifications
