. K! W( Z i1 n, f9 mPlan, implement and evaluate Special Events: 1 t6 `2 r. \- r7 C* H
· Select and develop themes in collaboration with the Committee
& ]* X3 ]( d$ v$ h, T2 b: A5 {· Oversee event logistics: book entertainment, catering services and venue; assist $ a! D% Z& ?/ u4 L& Z; m [
with decorating; ensure tickets and invitations are available; assist with the
0 f3 F) [2 k5 H4 L' i! w) Ladvertising of events; recruit, place and supervise volunteers for events; ensure ' s! x$ U& _# ~/ ^9 a# L5 e9 \% C
set-up and clean-up; monitor event budget and complete evaluation of events.

6 @3 m& E5 `4 c2 {Assist in developing and implementing a volunteer program: 1 s6 G% C/ B; h0 r* \
· Develop job descriptions for volunteer positions + r& @- s7 m/ N
· Recruit, interview, screen and place prospective volunteers ! P: E0 F/ r0 M* i5 R2 g
· Provide initial orientation and training for new volunteers 3 P, f/ A6 J6 m5 ?1 x
· Ensure provision of recognition and evaluation of volunteers 9 C' Y9 n& ]+ V+ L& `% Z
· Complete program administration, statistics and records

0 `- A& Q8 f4 o. o1 iQualifications:
" i& H* O5 l9 i- q$ l# _$ N( \· Completion of 12th
4 m4 ]6 i n: U5 u1 ^% I Grade and a minimum of a Diploma in Recreation 1 B4 `4 U( t! U& j# g) U7 C
Administration, Volunteer Management or Special Event Planning or equivalent.
/ C+ S9 B2 @# S· At least one year of experience in Recreation Administration and some direct 2 E) F/ F3 M8 ~5 h! E' @% k. v; f
experience in conducting recreational, cultural or other related events
6 N9 }1 U* i3 ]4 f0 }· Experience working with and managing volunteers
# ~, l, C$ g: ~+ C) h9 a" q* U% A· Specialized skills and training in working with seniors * ^" k3 U3 l( N9 z
· Ability to instruct, organize and supervise group activities and special events 3 r1 H: M7 I8 ]( E0 F: X3 T- A
· Current Standard First Aid, CPR & AED training ) O( q; Q& \+ ]* I5 G {( O
· Security Clearance 2 {* Y) X* W$ p. p7 U; {- h$ H
