* Provides technical support and husbandry of the Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometer (TIMS) Laboratory1 A4 F5 c! Q' \
* Performs isotopic analyses on a broad spectrum of chemical elements, including Pb, Os, Nd, Sr
8 n! G1 ~( H5 p; ]; O * Completes routine maintenance on the TIMS and auxiliary equipment, such as vacuum pumps% A1 F8 S2 a C/ t( U
* Performs data compilation, analysis and data reduction calculations* E: x& o) I$ g+ ]
* Trains users on the mass spectrometer and reduction calculations

" }. a: O$ D) x- ] * Technical diploma in Physical Sciences, preferably Geological Sciences or equivalent; BSc in Geology or Chemistry is preferred* \' Z, m; E5 {# r( n( L
* Specialized training on thermal ionization mass spectrometers, geochemical analyses, and instrumentation7 a* \: a, _: s
* Experience in an established research laboratory with demonstrated knowledge of lab safety regulations and procedures including general lab hygiene and specific safety protocols for thermal ionization mass spectrometers3 z7 ?; [; _8 Z& ?" U( J
* WHMIS training
+ v2 B& I4 W, @& \ * Computer competency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and programming experience would be an asset6 d6 x' x0 g3 q' n4 R
