8 i; U" U/ F1 p& eIntegrated Employability Skills Training gives immigrants the essential
/ p" O; X4 T! A/ _$ K' o0 |3 Fskills needed for success in the Alberta workplace. This 5-month funded
program combines classroom-based training with work site visits and work
' @, R5 F6 F* `( \" [experience placements in high-demand semi-skilled occupations, such as
warehousing, customer service, hospitality, healthcare support, food
services and others.

2 S) D( N# n/ P3 @' \0 I# y* JCandidate Profile:

! l* C( ~* s0 MCandidates for this funded program must be landed immigrants, Canadian
citizens or refugees who are eligible to work in Canada and who have:
*        English communication skills in the 4 - 6 range on CLB
- u# [* a1 i7 z3 r9 F; n8 \& n6 f*        Basic literacy and numeracy skills and some secondary or post-
+ c& G2 V' p0 U7 L% L0 i8 csecondary education
+ E- |1 e  f% B) g$ N3 S*        A genuine interest in finding permanent employment in a high-demand
occupation
. N7 U7 `7 Q% M6 X0 s8 J*        Availability to study fulltime for 5 months and then be employed
8 o) K- a0 j/ B5 p2 o* O3 q' ]: I*        Willingness to commit to a program and future job
& L% n% J8 w* w1 j; `1 c*        Resided in Alberta for the past 3 months

Program Description:

field trips
) i3 d/ y( e" E) l- @        *        Improve your English while learning about a variety of
6 F! `" V; p& x6 V+ j; Whigh-demand occupations
( _. g) C* r+ G/ n8 h. e6 y! }        *        Increase computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint,
Internet, etc.)
! M7 j5 o  V  z        *        Write a winning resume and improve interview skills
        *        Get First Aid/CPR and WHMIS certificates
+ ?: L  n$ [' i6 H8 R3 F$ {        *        Take advantage of one-on-one employment counseling
