Integrated Employability Skills Training gives immigrants the essential
& o/ p' G" W0 N5 F: F4 z$ Iskills needed for success in the Alberta workplace. This 5-month funded
program combines classroom-based training with work site visits and work
" Z0 K% o, ~+ [  t6 B$ O$ l1 fexperience placements in high-demand semi-skilled occupations, such as
. n2 t. a  F/ \warehousing, customer service, hospitality, healthcare support, food
services and others.

Candidate Profile:
0 {* S1 H- {$ l% u4 V! L, N+ Z
% x  t! C7 c- A* TCandidates for this funded program must be landed immigrants, Canadian
: \3 l8 m: ?, J( |; v3 |- fcitizens or refugees who are eligible to work in Canada and who have:
% z  S- {. q' k( f$ p# {) G*        English communication skills in the 4 - 6 range on CLB
*        Basic literacy and numeracy skills and some secondary or post-
secondary education
) ]0 C1 i3 D$ g, _, @5 [5 a4 ~' A. K*        A genuine interest in finding permanent employment in a high-demand
9 x' U' i) F: y$ U3 X1 q5 p$ Uoccupation
*        Availability to study fulltime for 5 months and then be employed
*        Willingness to commit to a program and future job

                        *        4 months classroom-based instruction and
field trips
        *        Improve your English while learning about a variety of
/ Y; A$ |" y. t, k8 W, |; h) p8 jhigh-demand occupations
5 H# t7 v5 J! O/ i9 v$ a        *        Increase computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint,
" |, o" K$ s- x7 X8 c# pInternet, etc.)
        *        Write a winning resume and improve interview skills
        *        Get First Aid/CPR and WHMIS certificates
7 a0 N; C2 R8 A5 r9 I        *        Take advantage of one-on-one employment counseling
