The YWCA is recruiting a Receptionist. The Front Desk is the central point for internal and external communications for all departments, programs and events. A sound understanding of overall activity of the agency is essential. This is a position that requires strong customer service skills, as it works collaboratively with staff and volunteers to provide the best possible information and assistance.$ w( ~) W3 t+ b9 S: m( }

• Greet and provide assistance to incoming visitors

• Receive and distribute mail and deliveries
8 w# H+ s: v) a8 l• Arrange courier services for all departments
5 R/ R( s" z5 N( K; c& h• Oversee Y-Knit program; provide support to its volunteers1 S. m7 |4 i* r1 f! m# I

• Receive sort and distribute mail and packages; post outgoing mail( q; b" K' G" U3 q _
• Sort and distribute mail and deliveries
y2 W/ i' `8 M$ \• Provide clerical support (e.g. word processing, data entry, photocopying, faxing, e-mailing, printing labels, mail-outs, and filing) to all departments of the agency : O. p9 P( ]$ O: @
• Update and maintain databases as assigned, including those for Fund Development and Administration, a7 n, N+ ^9 c- a9 t0 w A& R6 b
• Assist with task management for administrative volunteers
/ G& W( n( S5 h- N5 N& D: {4 p• Create monthly staff bulletin and prepare for distribution
! f" u9 N% o2 d' M• Assist Business department with weekly bank deposit and processing payments m4 k/ D5 h- s' O% o( ^! ^
• Assemble and forward information packets as requested) e2 k5 X5 W2 b% ]

• Accept and process registrations for participants or attendees at various special events and staff training

L9 ^1 M ~* N1 n# U• Minimum 2 years office experience in areas related to office reception, and office procedures
' |; O H- i" e# M# N• Experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.1 S/ T% v; ?' n5 @9 \! r6 h3 J
• Skill in Desktop publishing is an asset
+ O6 z- x% Q3 X! o• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
) F/ A- s! o: j• Mindful of need for accuracy, detail and discretion
