Receptionist

The YWCA is recruiting a Receptionist. The Front Desk is the central point for internal and external communications for all departments, programs and events. A sound understanding of overall activity of the agency is essential. This is a position that requires strong customer service skills, as it works collaboratively with staff and volunteers to provide the best possible information and assistance.

• Receive and distribute mail and deliveries

2 I0 E: _& k5 Y• Oversee Y-Knit program; provide support to its volunteers

Administration
% K: |% W0 ^2 s• Receive sort and distribute mail and packages; post outgoing mail

• Provide clerical support (e.g. word processing, data entry, photocopying, faxing, e-mailing, printing labels, mail-outs, and filing) to all departments of the agency
8 K& g* Z; _+ O& u3 V' l) A' ~• Update and maintain databases as assigned, including those for Fund Development and Administration
$ ~2 h% o( M& X• Assist with task management for administrative volunteers & m& ~* n; `. n$ \
• Create monthly staff bulletin and prepare for distribution
$ S2 a, A0 E) N9 C5 h, D6 [• Assist Business department with weekly bank deposit and processing payments 1 C+ ^, N( s% k
• Assemble and forward information packets as requested" h! k1 t. _" \2 K

• Process payments for ticket orders and registrations

% }: E9 N5 t' R/ z( P• Minimum 2 years office experience in areas related to office reception, and office procedures
9 J3 A- s# L( k4 ^7 }, b# n• Experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
