Receptionist

The YWCA is recruiting a Receptionist. The Front Desk is the central point for internal and external communications for all departments, programs and events. A sound understanding of overall activity of the agency is essential. This is a position that requires strong customer service skills, as it works collaboratively with staff and volunteers to provide the best possible information and assistance.; B$ E8 g& p" U: T* g

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

7 ^' p' a$ n; Q6 K• Greet and provide assistance to incoming visitors
, @2 c6 {( V _% a4 q/ T• Answer multi line telephone system

• Arrange courier services for all departments6 j3 v- x7 d8 O5 T
• Oversee Y-Knit program; provide support to its volunteers6 ~; n( e a+ I# V5 g

" Y1 E5 g: f, F& X& Y• Receive sort and distribute mail and packages; post outgoing mail! x4 V; t6 t; r# G# h- S- J* }
• Sort and distribute mail and deliveries
6 S5 Z. W9 \& b% G# S+ D7 ?• Provide clerical support (e.g. word processing, data entry, photocopying, faxing, e-mailing, printing labels, mail-outs, and filing) to all departments of the agency
8 Q" X2 W7 t. N7 h9 Z8 g- u• Update and maintain databases as assigned, including those for Fund Development and Administration! N! H0 J/ \, Z# D* C
• Assist with task management for administrative volunteers

• Assist Business department with weekly bank deposit and processing payments 4 G- S, [2 L' K& Z) T- E
• Assemble and forward information packets as requested

• Accept and process registrations for participants or attendees at various special events and staff training

Qualifications:% v& K. e: K, j& e6 y
$ r; U, s. v$ P, {5 @" u* {• Minimum 2 years office experience in areas related to office reception, and office procedures
$ O8 L' l8 b3 f7 \• Experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
+ I. O; ^+ S) x4 g) L3 O1 C) c• Skill in Desktop publishing is an asset
