! i% ]9 s4 g8 ~% v9 f( zBig Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton and Area provides mentoring programs to more than 2,800 children, youth and families.  We are looking for 4 temporary full time summer staff.

(8 week contract @ 35 hours a week)

3 \. J8 i' q0 G/ p" @3 NKey Responsibilities Include:
9 {: m+ g/ Q, @- [- EActivity Planning and Daily Activity
•        Assist in planning, organizing and relevant activities for children and youth to explore new avenues including leadership & life skills, recreation, and their cultural community that enhance their  resilience, relationship building and leadership.
- F- p' ]7 r) X6 H- f•        Participate in the delivery of all programs in the areas of crafts, sports and tutoring.
% K5 l( J- P2 N) N% k•        Participate in and lead sporting activities; know and have the ability to apply game rules for basketball, soccer  and volleyball,
" L# R: C# o$ Q# `6 H* y•        Provide proper supervision in all activities to ensure the safety of the program participants.
$ U) M2 O2 q3 t2 q6 V2 `•        Supervise the children and youth at breakfast and lunch time.
•        Help to maintain housekeeping standards by ensuring all program facilities are left clean after each activity and each meal.

The successful candidate will have:
•        The enthusiasm and ability to work with a variety of ages of youth in a group setting
•        Experience with children
•        Demonstrated knowledge of sporting, activity planning for youth
•        Knowledge the English language and the ability to support math tutoring.
•        Ability to manage time effectively and be results oriented.
•        Knowledge of children’s activities and community resources

& F6 O% F  X8 V4 _8 I. A•        Documentation of a  clear vulnerable sector Security Clearance check
