/ H7 K1 |- _% r" ~4 PBig Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton and Area provides mentoring programs to more than 2,800 children, youth and families.  We are looking for 4 temporary full time summer staff.

: j& i+ X' T7 {& p: ]* p4 Multicultural Summer Camp Program Staff
: _6 n" I9 ~+ a3 T(8 week contract @ 35 hours a week)

' x$ a/ U& u, HKey Responsibilities Include:
: t' @. D, V2 q; [& VActivity Planning and Daily Activity
•        Assist in planning, organizing and relevant activities for children and youth to explore new avenues including leadership & life skills, recreation, and their cultural community that enhance their  resilience, relationship building and leadership.
+ Z! g/ I6 u( q0 E0 z4 M# L•        Participate in the delivery of all programs in the areas of crafts, sports and tutoring.
•        Participate in and lead sporting activities; know and have the ability to apply game rules for basketball, soccer  and volleyball,
2 G' d3 R* H. K•        Provide proper supervision in all activities to ensure the safety of the program participants.
•        Supervise the children and youth at breakfast and lunch time.
2 X  ^9 ]0 D# U+ z+ k•        Help to maintain housekeeping standards by ensuring all program facilities are left clean after each activity and each meal.

# f& e, ]# h; O: U& wThe successful candidate will have:
•        The enthusiasm and ability to work with a variety of ages of youth in a group setting
: l7 }, f  H/ `, D7 p•        Experience with children
•        Demonstrated knowledge of sporting, activity planning for youth
$ E0 n3 t, d. x•        Knowledge the English language and the ability to support math tutoring.
5 \1 [" m0 @* h& r  G. p4 f) k•        Ability to manage time effectively and be results oriented.
•        Knowledge of children’s activities and community resources
•        Documentation of a clear CYIM (Child & Youth Information Management) check  
•        Documentation of a  clear vulnerable sector Security Clearance check
