Big Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton and Area provides mentoring programs to more than 2,800 children, youth and families. We are looking for 4 temporary full time summer staff. 3 P s9 K% o B

Key Responsibilities Include: o+ v D4 F* R9 G7 w3 u
Activity Planning and Daily Activity8 m$ a2 }' U- R8 U
• Assist in planning, organizing and relevant activities for children and youth to explore new avenues including leadership & life skills, recreation, and their cultural community that enhance their resilience, relationship building and leadership.
- v4 ?6 T$ M" q5 i7 n$ H& g5 O• Participate in the delivery of all programs in the areas of crafts, sports and tutoring.
+ U1 N. I' X g: P0 l5 d0 V1 G: P• Participate in and lead sporting activities; know and have the ability to apply game rules for basketball, soccer and volleyball, 4 F2 x8 K9 F6 S7 a2 O" a2 V
• Provide proper supervision in all activities to ensure the safety of the program participants.
) u. _4 o, h' m: [6 r- U ~• Supervise the children and youth at breakfast and lunch time.
5 i% G& E5 A, W; j" D! V; ~• Help to maintain housekeeping standards by ensuring all program facilities are left clean after each activity and each meal.

• The enthusiasm and ability to work with a variety of ages of youth in a group setting- ]8 m2 M# G; z+ M( h$ _3 Q' L; N
• Experience with children" a4 k- T+ g$ N; I1 x" L
• Demonstrated knowledge of sporting, activity planning for youth
, f; x' }4 e- k9 C• Knowledge the English language and the ability to support math tutoring.4 q8 ]( q$ t( L+ i0 _9 ~) p
• Ability to manage time effectively and be results oriented.
. E$ {% \* q* _, }• Knowledge of children’s activities and community resources
+ n7 }3 c) {0 q; ^• Documentation of a clear CYIM (Child & Youth Information Management) check
