  a' K" O$ o7 h+ f/ vBig Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton and Area provides mentoring programs to more than 2,800 children, youth and families.  We are looking for 4 temporary full time summer staff.

, I  b. ~: `. s8 a# ~9 ~1 WKey Responsibilities Include:
Activity Planning and Daily Activity
& W  I8 T! J% ]5 w/ p2 x•        Assist in planning, organizing and relevant activities for children and youth to explore new avenues including leadership & life skills, recreation, and their cultural community that enhance their  resilience, relationship building and leadership.
•        Participate in the delivery of all programs in the areas of crafts, sports and tutoring.
•        Participate in and lead sporting activities; know and have the ability to apply game rules for basketball, soccer  and volleyball,
•        Provide proper supervision in all activities to ensure the safety of the program participants.
2 B2 O) d: |( Z•        Supervise the children and youth at breakfast and lunch time.
•        Help to maintain housekeeping standards by ensuring all program facilities are left clean after each activity and each meal.

! X2 b& C4 [+ V) rThe successful candidate will have:
( W' Q; F* o% G) S0 _* R, G•        The enthusiasm and ability to work with a variety of ages of youth in a group setting
•        Experience with children
8 S# U# p3 e1 \•        Demonstrated knowledge of sporting, activity planning for youth
•        Knowledge the English language and the ability to support math tutoring.
•        Ability to manage time effectively and be results oriented.
•        Knowledge of children’s activities and community resources
•        Documentation of a clear CYIM (Child & Youth Information Management) check  
' T% A  M& B9 @4 H+ j. U•        Documentation of a  clear vulnerable sector Security Clearance check

) e5 L3 G+ W. B4 ~6 P- d( DIn addition to an excellent work environment, The Africa Centre & Big Brothers Big Sisters offer an hourly salary of $15-hour .
