5 k+ u- `6 @3 pBig Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton and Area provides mentoring programs to more than 2,800 children, youth and families.  Together with the Africa Centre, we are looking for 2 temporary full time summer student staff.

# ~3 U; O: J, X2 Multicultural Summer Camp Program Students
(10 week @ 35 hours a week contract. Must be returning to school)

) m& {! K6 r* G! n5 `6 TKey Responsibilities Include
0 w/ n. w  v: ]0 Z, Y( v- xActivity Planning and Daily Activity
. i  _4 j+ N4 P8 }+ [•        Assist in planning, organizing and relevant activities for children and youth to explore new avenues including leadership & life skills, recreation, and their cultural community that enhance their  resilience, relationship building and leadership.
•        Participate in the delivery of all programs in the areas of crafts, sports and tutoring.
•        Participate in and lead sporting activities; know and have the ability to apply game rules for basketball, soccer  and volleyball,
. Y4 |% Z, j4 O$ S/ s- ?! W# l  V( B•        Provide proper supervision in all activities to ensure the safety of the program participants.
•        Supervise the children and youth at breakfast and lunch time.
7 Q+ N: n1 A* |•        Help to maintain housekeeping standards by ensuring all program facilities are left clean after each activity and each meal.

The successful candidate will have:
6 A* u% I. ?0 z3 G5 {; H•        The enthusiasm and ability to work with a variety of ages of youth in a group setting
•        Experience with children
; c! D; m# o. U) a1 D4 D•        Demonstrated knowledge of sporting, activity planning for youth
•        Knowledge the English language and the ability to support math tutoring.
•        Ability to manage time effectively and be results oriented.

4 D9 R# y6 q6 f' k! B; l•        A clear CYIM (Child & Youth Information Management) check  
•        A clear vulnerable sector Security Clearance check
