h0 [! q( g. IBig Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton and Area provides mentoring programs to more than 2,800 children, youth and families. Together with the Africa Centre, we are looking for 2 temporary full time summer student staff.

Key Responsibilities Include
1 M* A1 _0 H" R! vActivity Planning and Daily Activity
* {- f6 A/ ^4 b" U6 {. s0 k- K0 D• Assist in planning, organizing and relevant activities for children and youth to explore new avenues including leadership & life skills, recreation, and their cultural community that enhance their resilience, relationship building and leadership.9 f h: L+ o' I7 S6 o5 m
• Participate in the delivery of all programs in the areas of crafts, sports and tutoring. % I. a% Y4 F$ q: y3 n
• Participate in and lead sporting activities; know and have the ability to apply game rules for basketball, soccer and volleyball, ( [6 G1 T r M
• Provide proper supervision in all activities to ensure the safety of the program participants.
% H/ F2 J) I2 M: O5 ?• Supervise the children and youth at breakfast and lunch time.
1 e4 Z) N) t! { }% v! Z• Help to maintain housekeeping standards by ensuring all program facilities are left clean after each activity and each meal.

The successful candidate will have:1 `6 N I7 u+ M- ` j8 O; B
• The enthusiasm and ability to work with a variety of ages of youth in a group setting
) C' ]. r, P9 l ~' A8 Q3 S' u; U( w• Experience with children
" ?/ ?2 I: f; R J# [/ s$ {• Demonstrated knowledge of sporting, activity planning for youth / ]6 y+ S, G4 U# I: |
• Knowledge the English language and the ability to support math tutoring.
1 P. M; s, U! b& t7 ]9 S/ l6 Q• Ability to manage time effectively and be results oriented.
