Responsible for the following key functions:
Performing product upgrade activities in the Production environment
# O, Q. X6 U" [" QParticipating in data migration and conversion initiatives
& a; T) c/ u: u2 u3 q% ^Performing changes to software configurations as requested by the customer
Performing  the analysis, design, development and review of production  scripts (datafixes, queries; ad hoc and production batch jobs - extract and update)
5 W" S; w) g  v" T! p) dTroubleshooting production issues
* u5 A- \' K+ v4 VParticipating in the development and documentation of standards and procedures for work performed by the Application Support team
, v" _/ V3 T5 P9 L7 Q0 q: R8 `Maintaining information required to support products after implementation (e.g., changes to customer contact information, changes to authorized approvers, etc.)
Providing technical and work management of 1 – 2 analysts on small projects
/ L8 T7 K! o) ]( |8 Y. U! w- E5 rProviding application and environment training to other SSD Operations employees, primarily other Application Support Analysts and Customer Support Specialists
- d% b# G& t8 W9 G# A) WDeveloping tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the Application Support team.
Work directly with clients, both internal and external to SSD.

0 h, j: i) p2 z( x' p1 U9 JGeneral:
Diploma or certificate in the Computer Systems field plus 4 or more years of practical experience in application support and/or software development
  i  }: s% ~* z  [$ ^5 `Experience using standard development and/or enhancement methodologies
Detail-oriented, strong analytical ability, exceptional trouble-shooting skills
: n' u% \0 \: D  S* M* t) RStrong organizational skills; must be able to juggle a number of complex tasks at once
: D. @, G& n! m, b1 T6 WStrong communication skills, both written and verbal as incumbent will be gathering requirements and presenting solutions to clients, both internal and external to SSD.
Technical:
Required:
5 J# v$ @, B$ h4 M+ Q0 LExperience supporting applications in a UNIX/ORACLE environment
Demonstrated experience with UNIX shell scripting and SQL/PL-SQL
Experience implementing, maintaining and supporting automated (cron) jobs in a UNIX environment
Strong SQL skills
