Responsibilities:
Responsible for the following key functions:
! W- S0 [% l7 c5 n3 [Performing product upgrade activities in the Production environment
- u$ q6 `/ Z0 rParticipating in data migration and conversion initiatives
Performing changes to software configurations as requested by the customer
Performing  the analysis, design, development and review of production  scripts (datafixes, queries; ad hoc and production batch jobs - extract and update)

Participating in the development and documentation of standards and procedures for work performed by the Application Support team
: b0 R, j& Z  }2 O+ j3 aMaintaining information required to support products after implementation (e.g., changes to customer contact information, changes to authorized approvers, etc.)
Providing technical and work management of 1 – 2 analysts on small projects
) S1 U6 [1 R6 T7 D- Z) }# Z, nProviding application and environment training to other SSD Operations employees, primarily other Application Support Analysts and Customer Support Specialists
! e* v! Q$ W& i; q6 m# A2 }4 [: }" PDeveloping tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the Application Support team.
Work directly with clients, both internal and external to SSD.

Qualifications:
General:
! @$ C4 @5 R" D1 M, xDiploma or certificate in the Computer Systems field plus 4 or more years of practical experience in application support and/or software development
Experience using standard development and/or enhancement methodologies
/ J  k( f: Z, u/ ?6 K2 bDetail-oriented, strong analytical ability, exceptional trouble-shooting skills
2 x0 v$ C1 a. Q8 F1 DStrong organizational skills; must be able to juggle a number of complex tasks at once
( N' X$ X$ V) g- {& nStrong communication skills, both written and verbal as incumbent will be gathering requirements and presenting solutions to clients, both internal and external to SSD.

Required:
Experience supporting applications in a UNIX/ORACLE environment
5 H- ]; x: `3 X. W5 RDemonstrated experience with UNIX shell scripting and SQL/PL-SQL
  Z- k/ c' u& H2 M3 rExperience implementing, maintaining and supporting automated (cron) jobs in a UNIX environment
Strong SQL skills

Experience supporting applications that use:
Javascript
