Responsible for the following key functions:
Performing product upgrade activities in the Production environment
Participating in data migration and conversion initiatives
Performing changes to software configurations as requested by the customer
9 o7 q- ?  V. ]Performing  the analysis, design, development and review of production  scripts (datafixes, queries; ad hoc and production batch jobs - extract and update)
/ m' H  D; H) W) FTroubleshooting production issues
# o$ N7 f. a! C- zParticipating in the development and documentation of standards and procedures for work performed by the Application Support team
" F2 I- d7 R# D2 x. D' kMaintaining information required to support products after implementation (e.g., changes to customer contact information, changes to authorized approvers, etc.)
5 b( w  O8 o+ ]& b& }& v$ iProviding technical and work management of 1 – 2 analysts on small projects
Providing application and environment training to other SSD Operations employees, primarily other Application Support Analysts and Customer Support Specialists
' Y0 L  v0 r1 ]Developing tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the Application Support team.
# p0 X' V) a9 \2 b/ q- [; ~Work directly with clients, both internal and external to SSD.

7 ~' s# t  q% u- z' H. gGeneral:
Diploma or certificate in the Computer Systems field plus 4 or more years of practical experience in application support and/or software development
+ j" W% w2 R) o' n2 w$ DExperience using standard development and/or enhancement methodologies
Detail-oriented, strong analytical ability, exceptional trouble-shooting skills
- w: h+ y; U) dStrong organizational skills; must be able to juggle a number of complex tasks at once
6 P) r8 |7 |* H2 }; x& G% q  QStrong communication skills, both written and verbal as incumbent will be gathering requirements and presenting solutions to clients, both internal and external to SSD.
Technical:
Required:
! c, C7 z9 r7 G2 j" xExperience supporting applications in a UNIX/ORACLE environment
& K$ \! v8 c  l4 ]9 mDemonstrated experience with UNIX shell scripting and SQL/PL-SQL
5 r5 P4 {+ f( E* X6 XExperience implementing, maintaining and supporting automated (cron) jobs in a UNIX environment
Strong SQL skills
