Summer Children’s Fitness Program Co-ordinator
Responsibilities:
% h# R/ X% C& _% [5 W4 w$ S% f- Organize focus group(s)
- Organize and facilitate summer children’s program (ages 6 to 10) with focus on physical recreation, fitness, nutrition, sports
6 J$ s7 Q/ \- {- Recruit children for summer program
1 {5 W* n2 t  H3 V* c/ {5 Q- Provide orientation for parents
- Find sponsors to enhance program
& o% d9 t* N- J: h2 A6 k- Supervise volunteer(s)
- Prepare final report for funding agency

5 O+ R3 `) u8 U- {& p  vQualifications:

# g$ {# A( i$ a( g, v9 ~1 x* k- post secondary student in Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education
! u, O) c0 [% B4 o6 x- good coordinating and interpersonal skills
- communication skills
- must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
- fluency in English, other Asian languages an asset
$ T5 h6 F7 ^/ M2 p; `- good computer skills
- leadership abilities
- ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Other

- must undergo security and child welfare check at own expense

$ o; H3 ~1 A& N% C% R+ ~- $10.50/hr for 30 hours/week, June 1 to August 31, 2005
