Has the following summer position available: June 1 – August 16, 2005 (40 hours per week)

Housing Program Worker

Key Responsibilities:
 To plan, organize and implement residential and housing support programs for adults and families who access the YMCA’s Transitional Housing Program.
 To assist residents to register for on-site housing and support programs
 To help promote the program in the community.
 To provide some evening and weekend program supports.
; x( G" l/ e8 x$ c+ g1 d) |' k. M To supervise volunteers assigned to the program.
6 d# E% j  J' }4 u" q* _+ s& | To document assigned activities and prepare reports as necessary.
 To operate within the approved budget and follow all YMCA Policies and Procedures.
 To contribute as a member of our staff team in the operation of the Transitional Housing Program.

Qualifications:  (Applicants must meet all qualifications to apply)
: v  v% d, v( d( D- a 2 years education as a post secondary student in Human Services or Social Work
  h3 ]* [! x( |3 e0 Z/ A9 v Experience in human services, social housing and/or work with high needs populations.
8 l& X7 ~: V8 { Well developed communication and interpersonal skills.
/ n% b) t' |8 E" _3 o! ? Current CPR and First Aid certifications
 Completed, current & cleared Child Welfare Check & Police Security Clearance
