Summer Children’s Fitness Program Co-ordinator
Responsibilities:
, a5 H) i3 h3 f4 t+ X/ B4 t7 n- Organize focus group(s)
6 H+ ?7 {0 l' I6 Y- Organize and facilitate summer children’s program (ages 6 to 10) with focus on physical recreation, fitness, nutrition, sports
- Recruit children for summer program
+ Q' v& z5 l- h6 \- F5 }- Provide orientation for parents
5 {' L. o+ _  }7 f& X8 G% E( N- Find sponsors to enhance program
+ e+ n. Y5 [2 c# _; Z8 ?3 H- Supervise volunteer(s)
( R0 r: h# \& s. M% n, Q1 A( S. M- Prepare final report for funding agency

Qualifications:
: G1 Y  i) G/ K* F) A0 i
- post secondary student in Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education
9 K7 L8 n2 U  r7 g" b! j! {- good coordinating and interpersonal skills
- communication skills
. I7 W, ^9 ^+ Q3 i- must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
- fluency in English, other Asian languages an asset
: U& `, @# c9 K0 N) E4 g$ I. O- good computer skills
- leadership abilities
$ o$ ]: }1 S% L) m# d8 `5 \2 P% e- ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Salary

- $10.50/hr for 30 hours/week, June 1 to August 31, 2005
