summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to C) G6 _% t4 R# u6 v4 b: ]
support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern

# p! N+ L8 {2 D) d, |/ v& S$ land media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the ; Y1 J$ Z5 O5 Z7 E& R) s9 F! A
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as 0 j6 O6 c% G+ M) @3 D$ L8 c
well as the script, magazine and book library.

Duties:
: `% L' \, M' E4 x% J, H- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library " \4 ]$ L: j3 R6 P
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
% R: w) M5 m* @$ k) f; z# M- Implement a catalogue template for future use 1 w# a* G3 \( n
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure
' @) z6 i) v5 u+ ?, u5 z2 w+ \- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable 9 L$ Y" S" J6 x: D- N2 D1 X

- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-/ d% _& D4 v* f4 {4 T A7 T1 A

- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week

- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts

- Experience or training in library sciences preferred
) w; p8 I ?9 Q- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal
