FAVA is currently looking for a Librarian to join the FAVA team for 10 weeks in the ! F4 `0 n9 |0 K" ^6 {6 j
summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to

resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and

/ B l. M2 F4 p! nJob Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the
: w& N) J+ }- O# e wFAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as

Duties:
6 s8 x' X5 G& T F% x8 x- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
6 C/ y2 e6 X3 |$ j. m* }- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
# W% r, s4 o8 s2 w* ]- Implement a catalogue template for future use
! k0 v4 }2 e4 W1 V# z- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure
2 `6 I, a; m( q8 w( @- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

secondary training, university preferred - e$ }5 c! O- D, y0 t
- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have:
( C6 K7 @4 N, ^5 F. |7 S5 k- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts
( [/ B4 f9 l z# I- Strong organizational skills
6 a" e8 t4 @1 J4 d" E9 W- Experience or training in library sciences preferred 2 V9 r2 {2 a* \9 l% z% p/ m
- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal 3 c8 Q; o, [, _
- Strong team player abilities " k" }0 K" W+ U. \: q" C
- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors
