summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to
& S* ] l$ y& p1 `" j+ `0 ^support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern

+ R( X" r" D% H+ J) A/ R2 O) ]FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from

and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a # c% J9 N X& L4 G5 O: y, V- K+ b
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and 2 u# w% L& s' `7 k) I
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

7 a7 v$ _. ~2 ]& ~2 g, ]Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the
2 \* Y# l" M1 N, _FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
0 y! X7 H4 R6 }. L5 ^0 c% {well as the script, magazine and book library.

- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
. O+ L. C/ Z- `+ c" { s" O+ P- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books . @6 O1 f; N, D9 e; a
- Implement a catalogue template for future use # W" j" a5 @, `, q% y7 D' Q
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure : p! p, m [9 ]! z7 R) L1 V7 R
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable 6 Q( M. f) a& J$ Q9 W3 d" G+ l5 z" `

secondary training, university preferred

- Length of position: 10 consecutive weeks

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have:

- Strong organizational skills 9 `* `; U0 A7 O6 F" s
- Experience or training in library sciences preferred

- Strong team player abilities
